Got on sale for $25 .. arrived fast. Work great as always! Yes some are broken but that's expected when your getting them Shipped.. (you will need to go hand pick individual wrapped tablets in store if your picky about a tablet being broken). 100% DOES NOT matter one bit as they dissolve the same whether broken into small pieces or whole. Any Extra powder on the bottom can be tossed into the pool so there is Zero Waste! Also expect 9 tablets (between 8-10 ) in the 5lb container they will come loose in a plastic bag inside. After seeing all of these reviews I was about to look elsewhere but they were in good shape not broken and all there ! Make sure you remove the side lining before trying to open I spent about two minutes before I realized ha ! ( felt like writing this for everyone that might look away because of reviews, no benefits from this review ) ... show more

Normally I wouldn’t bother reviewing something like chlorine tablets. They either are what they should be or they don’t work, my opinion would not make a difference and most people decide which one to buy on price as they are usually not going to be much different as far as what they are made to actually do. I needed them right away or my pool would go green as my pool company wasn’t doing the job lately. I almost didn’t get them based on all the negative reviews claiming they were all busted up when delivered and useless due to that (which is easily not true if you think about it, it’s not like a small amount extra is going to ruin things if you don’t just use them without any kind of dispenser really but it does mean you have to think about it and not just blinded toss a few in.) Just wanted to say they all came in perfect condition not even a crack. My issue is the package is so hard to open I cut my hand on it, which hurt. I still got in and used them but they can make secure packaging that I don’t need my knife to open, they way they say to open it wasn’t happening and more than just me tried a few times. But the product inside, even after I destroyed the package was unbroken and appears just fine. So I’m guesssign the issue is solved and am glad I didn’t wait more than a day and pay more for no reason. These are just fine. ... show more

    • As Described-But Most Broken
The product is what it is, but the packaging leaves a lot to be desired if they are shipping this. I don't understand why they make the container so large that the tablets have so much room to move around in and get broken. Why not make a tube container for them? Or at least put bubble wrap or some sort of padding on the inside of the bucket? I just put one of the unbroken ones in my pool, so time will tell on the effectiveness. My pool has been filled for a week, with zero chemicals, just the pump running as I am still in the process of setting it up completely. The water is already clear, and we have a LOT of rain, and the pool does get sun for quite a bit of the day. Well, when it's not raining! I plan to test the chlorine levels in a day to see if these are effective and keep it at the safe level and clearness I want. For reference, I have an 8 foot stock tank pool and run the pump/filter 10 hours a day. Most with stock tank pools only run theirs a few hours a day, which I don't get, as I grew up with a pool, and ours actually ran 24 hours a day from the time we opened it in the Spring. So to sum it up, they arrive at least 25% broken, at least in my case, but smell strongly of chlorine, so I can't imagine they wouldn't work. ... show more

They seem to dissolve slower making less need to fill the floater as often. Be careful when opening the container the chemical smell is very very strong and has quite a bit of dust/powder which definitely can affect someone with breathing problems such as myself. But overall good product and is doing the job. ... show more
