Love this air fryer! I purchased it based on a recommendation from a YouTuber. I have not regretted it. I’ve been using it for three weeks now. It's a workhorse and very high-quality. I will admit there’s some learning you have to do, however, if you take the time to really learn about this machine, I believe you will love it too! Be sure to look into the preset buttons, and by the way there are MORE presets in the app, because each one has a different fan speed, and it uses either the top or the bottom burner as the main heat source. Some of the presets will preheat and some will not. It may sound complicated, but it’s not and it’s more than worth the bit of time it takes to learn to use it properly. For the first week and a half I didn’t bother with the presets. I just manually entered the time and the temperature. Once I realized how they work, the presets are really a game changer. I have attached a picture of a spreadsheet I put together to somewhat document the preset settings. The temperatures and times are variable. It’s not official, just something I put together based on information I got from the website. The air fryer takes up a bit of space on the countertop. It weighs 20 pounds so I won't be putting it away after each use. Besides, I want to use it all the time so I don't want to put it up every time I use it. I have a tiny kitchen, so I bought a shelf to set it on so that I don't lose any counter space. This was a perfect solution. Be sure to leave room for the air vent in the back. This may be the biggest air fryer on the market, but from what I have read and watched in online reviews, it will last you for the long haul as opposed to purchasing a smaller one and then realizing you can’t really make anything significant in it. This thing is so quiet I often check to make sure that it’s on and from my understanding most air fryers are quite loud. The finish on the surface of the basket and on the grill plate that comes with it are so easy to clean. I usually wipe it out with a paper towel and then easily clean it with dish soap and water. So far NOTHING STICKS! I almost forgot the self cleaning feature! There are two modes: there's just self cleaning and then there's a deep clean. I've only used the self cleaning and it was amazing. This is to clean the heating coils, removing food and fat that get on them during cooking. It's my understanding that for most air fryers, cleaning the heating elements can be a real bear of a process and may not always be successful. The app is very user-friendly. The website is full of great ideas and recipes. Customer Service is a dream to work with. At this point, they still have a 30 day price guarantee. Within a week of purchasing my air fryer Amazon put it on sale for $50 less. I contacted Typhur customer service and within 24 hours I had a $50 credit on my Amazon account. What else can I say? If you really want to enjoy the air fryer experience, get the best one. It's my opinion that this IS the best one! UPDATE 12/24/25: I still love my air fryer and use it every day! I cook, chicken, salmon, steak, bacon, without having to heat up my big oven. But the main reason I had to place this update is due to even more high-end customer service by Typhur. Early last week I was cooking with my air fryer. I pulled the basket out and turned around to set it on the counter top behind me. I apparently hadn’t set it down securely as I instantly heard a horrifying crash, turned around, and saw the basket laying on the floor with a smashed handle. I was heartbroken as I use this every day, but I remembered seeing a replacement basket on Amazon for around $60. But first I decided to contact Typhur Customer Service via email to see if I could buy just the handle. They wrote back within about FIVE MINUTES that they had placed an order to send me a a complimentary replacement! I was thrilled and in the back of my mind, I was wondering how I was going to replace this handle when I received it. Fast-forward a week I came home and there on my front porch was a big box. I had no idea what could be in it. Turns out It was a brand new COMPLETE BASKET for my dome 2 air fryer! Not just the replacement handle! These days, when customer service can be spotty, it is really refreshing that a company would go above and beyond like this.

My best investment of 2026! The Typhur Dome 2 has completely changed my feelings about air fryers. Why? Three reasons: 1) Above and below heating - everything (and I mean everything) has come out perfect. From biscuits to seafood to chicken wings. Perfect. Also, reheating the same items originally cooked in it has been a breeze. Some of these products came with air fryer prep instructions, I followed them to the letter and Ta-Da! For those that didn't, I just googled the question and trust me, someone out there knows exactly how long to air fry anything! 2) Self-cleaning, self-cleaning, self- cleaning! I don't think I need to say another word about this, but I will mention that the non-stick basket is genius and so easy to clean up after cooking in it. No need to use self-cleaning after every use depending on what you cook. 3) The App. Yes, it would be cool if the air fryer would start itself when you choose an app setting. But, as one who is extremely safety-conscious (and needs a little exercise), I am fine with walking over to push "Start" since it insures I chose the right app setting for my food items (senior here who makes mistakes on rare occasions). I've only had the Typhur Dome 2 for a couple of weeks, but I've used it multiple times and I can honestly say this is the best air fryer I've owned to date. And I had two (other popular brands) before this one. No comparison. Don't need an extra basket because this one is spacious enough to hold different foods for an entire meal (and no flavor/taste mixing at all). Typhur Dome will be my go-to choice if I ever need another air fryer. And if a newer, even more innovative model comes out, count me in! Love it!

I've had a great experience with my Typhur Air Fryer. It cooks food evenly, quickly, and consistently delivers delicious results. From crispy wings and fries to vegetables and everyday meals, everything comes out tasting great with very little effort. What really stood out to me was Typhur's outstanding customer service. I needed help replacing the grill, and their support team made the entire process smooth and hassle-free. They responded promptly, were professional and courteous, and quickly helped me get a replacement. After (too) many hours looking at air fryer reviews I picked the Typhur Dome 2 as my first air fryer. I am so glad I did! I probably don't use it as much as I could, but I love it for whipping up a quick batch of biscuits or crescents. The pan is big enough to hold and entire can of Pillsbury Grand biscuits, with the top and bottom heating elements, the biscuits turn out nicely browned on top AND bottom (no rack, using Bake mode, and no preheat). Just drop the temperature down about 25F and reduce the time by 2 - 5 minutes (for me). I also like it for frozen food (hash browns, fries, fish sticks, etc.). I haven't really used it for many meats because I prefer to grill/smoke, but there are many reports of others being very happy, and I've been thinking wings sound good about now (and it's too cold to fire up the pellet smoker). My only nit-picks are that when you lose power to the unit you have to re-pair it to your phone - it doesn't retain any settings. It will still work without the phone, but you lose some of the modes (like bake). The other is that if you use the app on the phone to setup the cooking time/temp, when you click on start you still have to press start on the unit as well. Like I said nit-picks, not deal breakers. The only complaint I have seen in reviews/comments is that the drawer is too shallow to cook a whole chicken. In my opinion, I'd rather have a larger cooking area, rather than more cooking height. Yes, the cost is higher than many other air fryers, I'm glad I spent the extra cash.

OK, I bought this Typhur Dome 2 unit about a month and a half ago. I wasn’t able to test it out or use it until last week. I was in the hospital and rehab so I was concerned that I might have to send it back and I had gone past the time. But luckily, when I started using it, I found out that I really like it. I’ve only used it a few times, it’s been a trial and error. The only thing I have problems with is the instructions seem to be a little strange and I’m having trouble with that. But I know I’ll get past that part. I like the design I like the shape I like where I can put it on my counter. I just have to get used to the drawer and give it space for taking it out. I also bought the golf thermometer, I have a major problem with that connecting to the dome unit. I have to practice with it and figure out what I’m doing wrong cause obviously I’m doing something wrong. It keeps giving me wrong temperatures and I need to find out how to correct that. Now would I recommend us to other people yes I would. I only gave it four stars because I’m still testing it out it might go up to five and I hope that it doesn’t go lower. Seems very nice to have in the house, I have a ninja pressure cooker/air fryer that I use for a lot of things when I found it. It’s too big and I like the way I can lay things down in a tray to make it easier to cook. I’ll keep my pressure cooker, cause it comes in handy. So if you’re looking for a decent air fryer, I would definitely recommend you get this one and test it out, remember you have a 30 day test. If you don’t like to return it. I like mine enough to keep it. He’ll do a job I needed to do and I think I’ll enjoy using it a lot.

SECOND UPDATE: I felt compelled to provide an additional update to this (over a year later) and increase the rating back to 5 stars. I seriously love this thing. It's basically become a member of our family. I love it so much I bought the updated version which has a heating element on the bottom as well. Typhur also told me that they are updating the baking pan to try to prevent the scratching issue I had before, and the updated version has not had any of these issues. We use this at least 10 times a week for various meals. Because it is so wide, it can cook so much food and everything cooks faster and better in this. It's great for frozen foods of course - chicken tenders, tator tots, mozzarella ticks, hash browns, french bread pizzas, etc - they all cook up so well in this. But it's also great for so many different veggies, meats and fish. We regularly air fry teriyaki salmon in this and it's large enough to cook all of the portions for our family of five. Everything cooks SO FAST. Oven roasted whole carrots take at least 45 minutes in a regular oven, and are seriously done in about 18-20 minutes in this. Air fried green beans - five minutes and delicious. Brusssel sprouts taste like they've been fried. I've made Chinese char siu in the oven for years and recently cooked it in this - it was the best batch ever. Crispy pork belly - check. Tilapia - check. Chocolate chip cookies - check. An entire pack of bacon - check. It's amazing. If you need an air fryer, just get this - you won't regret it. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I really loved this air fryer. Before purchasing, I emailed the company numerous times to ask about their coating and to make sure it was truly non-toxic, etc. The company was always very responsive, so I went ahead and purchased what I considered to be a relatively high priced air fryer. I've used it multiple times a week since then. Not every day, but maybe 2-3 times a week and it's worked amazingly well. It's huge so you can cook a giant batch of food at a time and it truly works well. I've hand washed the tray each time without any abrasive cleaners. Here's the issue: after roughly four months of fairly regular use, the coating has started to come off the tray on the upper edges as well as in the middle of the base of the tray. I assume it's not safe to use with the coating coming off, and I'm really bummed. This was a lot of money to spend for four months of use of an air fryer. I'm not sure if others have had this experience, but I will say that the air fryer itself is excellent. I just wish the tray would have lasted more than 4 months, and I'm not sure if you can buy it separately. UPDATE: I reached out to Typhur to ask about getting a new tray. With very little effort (sent in some requested pics of the tray), they promptly shipped me a new tray. The customer service is really unparalleled and I'm so impressed and grateful that they really stand behind their products. I've moved this back up to 4 stars as a result of the amazing customer service!

I had an air fryer by another manufacturer that I thought worked very well. I decided to try the Typhur 2 after seeing reviews on YouTube. I have been amazed at how well it cooks things. The preset temps and times didn't seem like they would be enough...they were. Frozen pizza - 14 minutes gets a very crispy crust. Wings are outstanding. The cool thing is that you don't need to turn them half way through because the Typhur has heating elements above AND below the food. I just put the wings in and wait for the unit to notify me on my iWatch. I cooked salmon filets with the skin-side down using a meat thermometer. When they hit the proper temp, the meat was perfect and the skin was very crispy. That surprised me. It was as good as using fish cage on the grill but easier to get the entire filet out and much easier to clean. There is a height limitation in the Typhur that I didn't have before, but the reality is that I don't need that height for many things. I couldn't put a whole chicken in it, but I never cooked whole chickens before. At this point in time, assuming that the unit doesn't fail prematurely (like I know what that is), I would buy this unit again in a heart beat. Well worth the extra bucks.

There's a lot of confusing information floating around about harmful chemicals on the cooking area or inside the basket. You'll have to do your own research there. I can tell you this cook better than any air fryer ive ever owned. I would highly recommend it, but the company should do something about the app functionality. The app is very limited for setting up cook times temperatures and fan speeds. I had to reach out to the company to understand the fan speed options, which are just controlled through the different settings on the front. You don't really get a direct fan speed control. So for example, if you're cooking a pizza you have to start slowly so don't blow off the pizza. But if you want a very crispy, Krust, you have to step up the fan speed. If you step up the temperature, you'll burn the toppings, but you have to wait until the top is nice and melted before you can turn up the fan speed or the blow all over the inside and over the coil. I almost exclusively use the bacon setting, which is low fan speed and then adjust the temperature according to what I'm cooking. I haven't figured out how to use the other buttons. The company isn't very helpful telling which button to use. I've cooked steak, fish, chicken and once you figure out the settings it turns out perfectly. I feel like the app should be more useful to help you with the settings and they should provide more help on setting fan speeds cook times and temperature. The wide flat basket makes it much more useful than the deep basket air fryers. It's easy to clean. if it wasn't for the frustration, of not knowing the settings. I'm having to deal with that each time and remember what worked best last time I would give this thing five stars at $500 it should be a lot more user-friendly. If you do email the company, they are extremely helpful, but I don't wanna email the company every time I wanna cook a meal. UPDATE: 10/13/24 I am bumping my review to five stars because the performance and design is excellent, and the fact that the customer service actually care to improve and support the product. It's the best air fryer on the market hands down. Customer service did continue to work with me and the communication was exceptional. With their assistance, I've been able to use the device much better. I would love to see the app be more useful. For example, if you're cooking a pizza, it needs to start out slow, but then pick up at the end to crisp the crust. Maybe in the app if they had different examples thick piece of salmon thin piece of salmon cod chicken, wings, chicken breast, thin chicken breast, breaded chicken or whatever.
