    • Knockoff of limited use exercise tool

There are many versions of this exercise tool available on Amazon, but they are not all the same. While others have manuals and exercise posters to describe its use, this one has just a two-sided slip of paper with a couple of in-use photos and sometimes bizarrely translated instructions (“Remove the oil layer from the pipe blank”???). Others appear to have a variety of bendy spring segments to offer different resistances. This one only has one pair of spring segments of same resistance, with the only adjustment on the whole tool being a length adjustment to add either 1” or 2” to the overall length of the tool (which increases its moment arm when you bend it, I guess). It’s not the most sturdy and rigid of assemblies, but I’m fairly confident that it won’t break and snap in my face. Regardless, without a poster of positions and uses, I can only imagine and experiment on how to use this tool, and while there are some movements that activate some arm and chest muscles, I doubt that this will become anything close to a go-to tool. ... show more

After surgery, my PT recommended controlled resistance training. Starting at 40 lbs was gentle enough for recovery, and I’ve gradually increased the load. The ergonomic handles and adjustable angles make it perfect for rehab. My arm strength and mobility have improved significantly!
