I underestimated how many feet I would need, but these LED lights are beautiful, bright, energy efficient, have a number of patterns to choose, and have held up through rain storms and hail. They are long enough I was able to run them overhead from tree to tree to tree across the back and along the length of my campsite on the camping side of my trailer. I am pleased with the quality, looks, and use of these. 168 feet would be plenty to continue to another tree at the front and back along the other side and back to the first tree completely surrounding my trailer. I replaced the power adapter with one from another string of lights that works with these lights and turns on for 8 hours and off for 16 hours automattically since the second set of light could plug into the end of these lights. The pattern of these red, white, and blue lights is different than the pattern of the second set of lights which has more colors to it even though the same power adapter is powering both. I recommend these despite the adapter not having the timer function, and the effect of the three colors basically being purple from a distance or on video recordings.

Great outdoor lights for my apartment. Plenty of settings. Got a new set in addition to another I’ve had for two years. The battery pack keeps the water out. I like how they automatically run 6 hours on and 18 hours off. Just set and forget. Colors are vibrant. I put them up the week of Thanksgiving and usually have to replace the batteries right around Chrismtas.

I use a LOT of "Christmas" "Holiday" "Whatever" string and rope lighting. I've tried dozens of types and brands. Generally I'm not a huge fan of the battery operated -- they're SUPER HANDY, but... I've had too many die over the summer for no reason -- I put them in the Christmas box working and they come back out not working, and no, I have not left the batteries in them. Overall I LOATHE the HDMI ones, if it's going into a plug, then I want a PLUG... I don't want to bother with the stupid intermediary HDMI converter, and to me, there's NO WAY it has the same power as one plugged directly into the outlet. All that blah, blah, blah being said -- I like these a lot. (Don't know if they'll LAST, but I like them.) What I like most (compared to MANY overseas-made brands), these have VERY GOOD lighting selections (the flashing, twinkling, etc.) Many of them have 5 or 6 AWFUL, garish, dumb settings that no one would ever use and then maybe 2 that are useful. This one has quite a few that are good and one that I really like a lot... in the "twinkle" range versus the others with just a lot of different awful flashing. I'm a little confused about the timer settings, but admittedly, I didn't read the instructions. I'm guessing it's X number of hours from when it is turned on. IDK... but they come on every night, so the time does "work"... I just don't know HOW it works, but NBD. So there ya go. Hope they last.

The lights work fine. They automatically turn on at the same time each night. There are several settings (blinking, flashing, etc. ). I especially like the fact that they can be used outdoors and do not need to be plugged in. I should buy more!

The media could not be loaded. These aren't as deep of a purple as I was expecting, but these are some cute lights. This was the perfect length of lights to go on my mini tabletop tree. I guess I didn't read well enough, but these lights run on 3 AA batteries and don't plug into the wall. This makes it easier to use in the middle of the room, but could be a downside if you don't want to use batteries or want to attach it to another string of lights. I love the number of settings you can change them to (shown in the video I included). It's also super easy to change settings, just a click of a button. Can be flashing, fading, and even just plain old steady lights. Overall, really nice lights that are perfect for Halloween. Would buy again in other colors.

I am a lifetime prolific displayer of Christmas lights and recently bought over 50 strands from Amazon, most over 100 ft long. Most were 8 mode like this one (bought this for patriotic days). The controllers that are 29v 30v 6 watt are interchangeable. This controller started at flashing and returns to flashing after power cut no matter if you set it to steady on. Of note the ad did not say this light set would hold to last selected mode. Because I have dozens steady on holding controllers from other lights (many extra because certain strands can be connected end to end) I replaced the controller. One weird thing about these lights, I connected a non 8 mode, single mode 6w power supply and all the bulbs stay lit. Why this is strange is LEDs on 8 mode strings work 1/2 on 1/2 off with the controller changing the 2 wires from positive to negative back and forth. This is how it achieves steady on and alternating light effects. Usually when you connect single mode only half the lights are on and if you switch the pins around the other half stay lit. So if you have red/green 8 mode you can have it be only red or only green if you use a single mode controller. Odd result with this strand. Still a completely usable very bright LED strand and would purchase again only because I have extra controllers so it stays steady on.
