Had these for 3 months and the whole strand stopped working.. tried adjusting it, moving it into more direct sunlight, but it appears to be dead. I guess the 10000 hours of run time is in minutes. Really frustrating. Cont… Was contacted by a service rep and they sent out a brand new solar panel that fixed the issue.. lights have been working since, hoping that it was just a faulty board. ... show more

They stay lit a few hours after the sun sets. I think they would put more illumination off if there was more bulbs on the cord. Yes, it’s a longer strand but the spacing between is large. It definitely need another light source for the porch because they don’t put out enough.

When the pandemic hit, my two older children moved back home to work/school from home. I used to leave the driveway lights on for them when it turns dark outside. But sometimes that meant the lights being on all night, and sometimes on all the next day also because it's hard to realize the driveway lights are on during day light hours. So I got these solar lights and used them on the wall along the driveway. No more worrying about forgetting to turn off the lights! These lights come on automatically at dusk and stay on till the rechargeable batteries are drained. Keep in mind that you'll have to make sure and place the solar panels where they'll have the most exposure to sunlight to get as much charge during the day as possible. Lastly, I want to mention how much I appreciate the light bulbs being shatterproof. Prior to purchasing these, I had purchased a set of lights with glass bulbs. Some broke just while I was hanging them up! But these shatterproof bulbs have been awesome! They appear to be made of some strong plastic. Although they do not look any different from the glass ones that I have previously bought. The ultimate test came when I was getting my driveway redone. The driveway contractors did accidentally misshapen some of the lightbulbs. But they did not break (no shattered glass to deal with) and the bulbs still work! I bought a set of these for my sister with young children. Not having to worry about possible shattered glass is great! ... show more
