The tonearm lift lever is exactly what it means, to pick up the tonearm from the record only. You cannot use it to gently drop the stylus down on the record because once it starts making contact with your record it will skip since it takes too long for it to fully rest on the record with the full 3.00 grams of stylus/cartridge weight. I used my stylus weight, and it was 2.99 grams, just 10 milligrams shy of the recommended 3.00 grams of weight. Using my protractor to test for cartridge alignment, which was off from the factory, I had to adjust the cartridge to align it. Other reviews stated that the sound is loud. I have to turn the volume up all the way up and it’s still not that loud. It does have decent sound quality from the cartridge alignment and 3.00 grams of stylus/cartridge weight. I know I’m getting the best possible sound without having to worry about excessive wear on my records and stylus. The auto stop works great on both speeds. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I am new to the records' world. When I searched for the player, these were my requirements, and this player fulfills them. 1. Has a transparent lid 2. The record holder should hold the entire record. 3. The record should be completely inside the player's main body. I see lots of players on the market let the record extend outside the main body horizontally. I am afraid that the record may hit something on the table. Those players may be light-weighted, but in my opinion, a good record player should have a good protection to the record. After all, the records are precious. 4. Come with good speakers. This is the thing I would know after the purchase, and this player do a great job. I'm very happy with the player, it's a great piece of art laying in my living room. The only thing that I'm not very happy with is the volume tuner is inside the lid, so I have to open the lid to adjust the volume. However, most of the time, I don't need to adjust it and it keep the knob from dusts. I like this player a lot. It may not for traveling, but it is a great furniture in the living room. Followed all directions, double checked belt attachment, watched troubleshooting videos. Out of the box, this turntable did not turn. Power light comes on, bluetooth plays, but the plate does not spin. I’ve requested a replacement and the shipping date continues to be pushed back. I would love to retract my 1 star review and chalk things up to shipping damages, but I’m not sure I’ll even receive a replacement. My confidence in the quality of this machine is now very low. ... show more
