Description

Whether you’re just getting into records, rediscovering a record collection long since buried away or simply adding a turntable to complete your system, the AT-LP60X fully automatic belt-drive turntable is an excellent choice. This affordable, easy-to-use turntable plays both 33-1/3 and 45 RPM records and, with its built-in switchable phonon preamp, can be connected directly to your home stereo, powered speakers, computer and other components, whether they have a dedicated phonon input or not. An update of the popular AT-LP60, the ATLP60X features a redesigned tone arm base and head shell to improve tracking and reduce resonance. Noise is further reduced by the inclusion of an AC adapter that moves the AC/DC conVersion outside of the chassis where its impact on the signal chain is limited. Audio-Technical has been a leader in phonon cartridge design for more than 50 years, and that expertise shows in the AT-LP60X’s Dual Magnet cartridge with replaceable stylus. The cartridge is integrated into the head shell for assured performance and ease of setup. The turntable comes with a detachable RCA output cable (3. 5 mm male to dual RCA male), 45 RPM adapter, and a removable hinged dust cover. It is available in black (AT-LP60X-BK), brown/black (AT-LP60X-BW), gunmetal/black (AT-LP60X-GM), and red/black (AT-LP60X-RD).

  • Best Entry Level Turntable!
Color: Black Style: Wired Pattern: Turntable
The Audio Technica LP60x is a fantastic turntable, especially for anybody looking to get into collecting and playing records! At the price it’s unmatched, for it not only looks great, but produces an amazing sound as well! The redesign gives it a much more modern/ sleek finish than its predecessor, done by slight variations that together make the turntable look comparable to the 400$ counterparts on the market when on a stand. I love how easy it is to slide the dust cover on or off depending on your preference at the moment. The build quality is not the greatest, being composed of mainly plastics, but it never gets in the way of use or even how it looks. The only downside may be the inability to change cartridges, however for beginners that shouldn’t matter for the stock cartridge works great, and will carry you until you choose to upgrade if that’s what you want. The setup is extremely straightforward and easy, making it a fantastic for beginners, or anyone who likes convenience! You can function the turntable either automatically or manually which is great for I like to drop the needle myself, but let it automatically reset when the record finishes. I have tested the player with about 30 records so far, half old half new, all playing just fine! All in all, you would be hard pressed to find a better turntable at this price, and it makes a world of a difference than paying slightly less for a suitcase player. If you have some more experience or a higher budget, the LP120 is a perfect option, and one you probably wouldn’t even have to upgrade from, however nonetheless Audio Technica is the way to go, I am very very happy with my Audio Technica LP60x ... show more

  • Just what I wanted
Color: Black Style: Wired Pattern: Turntable
This is a great record player for what we are using it for. I was caught off guard when I opened the box and saw I had to assemble it myself, but it was easier than I thought to do. It puts out great sound and is super easy to "start" with the automatic button. There is also a "stop" button if you want to stop anywhere on the record. Set up easily with my Yamaha receiver and my Klipsch speakers sound great with it. I also love that it has a clear cover so the cats don't ruin it. We are getting back into the vinyl so this is perfect for now. ... show more

  • excellent turntable
Color: Black Style: Wired Pattern: Turntable
this turntable is excellent, and let me tell you why. - the price is unmatched. there is quite literally no other turntable you can get at this quality for this price - the sound is fantastic. it's got a good quality stylus that picks up every little note and layer in the song you're listening to - it's feature-rich. it's automatic, you can switch between 33 and 45 speeds, and you can switch between 12" and 7" records for automatic use, - the build is sturdy and looks great. it's a very solid turntable that also looks fantastic. the black body is super sleek and pairs nicely with the clear dust cover. the felt cover that sits on the plate also looks great and keeps your records in good condition - the setup is incredibly easy. all you have to do is attach the belt which takes less than 30 seconds and from there, it's all plug and play ... show more

  • Absolutely love this turntable
Color: Black Style: Wired Pattern: Turntable
The media could not be loaded. This is a review only after a couple days of using the turntable, but my experience so far has been amazing. The video sounds far less clean than it does in person mainly because because of the echo-y room I'm testing it in. Very pleased with the sound produced. Note that the preamp is for the "Line" setting, there is also a "Phono" setting on the turntable which does not connect to the built-in preamp in the turntable. The needle also automatically does everything from the resting position when pressing "Start", and the needle will disconnect automatically when reaching the end of the record. Being aware that this adds more moving parts, I don't notice any reduction in sound quality at all compared to the more expensive, more manually Audio-Technica At-LP120 which will spin all night when reaching the end of a record. Here are a couple cons, which, honestly are very small, and honestly just show how much more this turntable is worth the price: If you make a sudden movement such as jump near the turntable, or maybe bump into the surface the turntable is on, instead of "hearing" that amplified sound on the speakers like you might with an AT-LP120, this will usually jump forward one rotation (~7 seconds), presumably part of a small tradeoff to enable some of the automatic start-stop mechanisms, which in my opinion is totally worth it just for the auto-stop feature. My other complaint would be when pressing stop, the needle will lift up and go back to the rest state. This means, to my knowledge with my limited finicking, that you can't pause in the middle of a record and continue it. I could be wrong, but I don't really want to unnecessarily add both extra wear to my records nor add uneven wear. Overall, this player is amazing and an absolute steal. You probably know this if you're reading this review, but any record player around this $150 price range that has built in speakers is usually the inferior quality type with the plastic needles and whatnot that gave essentially the same sound quality as the $40 players. This turntable is on par with $300 players for only $150, so that's a win to me. ... show more
