  • Does the job of an all-in-one
Color: Mahogany Style: Record Player
My m-i-l has been interested in one of these for a while. I found a used (like new) one on here for $25 off and decided to take the plunge. As usual for the other like-new stuff I've bought from Amazon, the player came in pristine order and looked great. Then, I tested all the features. The speakers are not good of course, but I find that most people don't care, they just want sound. (I'd put them on par with a $50 bluetooth speaker.) When you hook it up to a decent audio system via RCA, it sounds pretty good, but I probably wouldn't buy this as a main system. It looses it's charm sitting next to speakers - looks is part of what drives people to these. Anyways, the CD player, Bluetooth, and radio all work well out of the box. The tape player sounds the most like poo, but tapes aren't that great anyways. The record player was one of the main reasons she wanted it, but it sounded a bit distorted/low quality. I tried cleaning the records better, different RCA cables, etc., but nothing made it sound better. Then, I bought a new cartridge. Boy, that made a huge difference. I would consider that a must-buy along with this player. The one I got was a Banpa, also from Amazon. It was pretty easy to install, it just takes some delicate hands so you don't break the fine wires. Anyways, I'm using it for a bit until she gets it for Xmas and so far, it's a nice little player for non-audiophiles. It got me into vinyl and now I'm on the lookout for a dedicated turntable with better sound :) ... show more

  • Worked for less than 5 months, and will no longer power up!
Color: Mahogany Style: Record Player
Update 11-8: I am not giving the product five stars, but instead the company. After calling the customer support line through the company, they informed me that my product was still under warranty and helped me get the process started to have a new unit sent. They also informed me that I wouldn’t need to send the old unit back, and so my local high school got a new prop for their theater department. The company was great to work with and I’m truly grateful for how easy they made this whole process. I was so excited when I first got this record player, since I have quite a large vinyl collection. Because of this product, I even got into collecting more CD’s and cassettes. I used the product on a daily basis, and five months after I got it, I went to turn it on one day, and it wouldn’t power up. I had it plugged into a surge protector, so I know that it wasn’t damage from a power surge. I am EXTREMELY disappointed in this product, and would highly recommend NOT getting it. ... show more

  • Fun, Vintage-y Gift
Color: Mahogany Style: Record Player
My parents are Baby Boomers. They have a collection of music on various forms of media: actual records (or 'vinyls,' as the kids call them these days), cassette tapes, and CD's. They watch YouTube videos on their computer (of old music videos) and they don't have smart phones but one of them does have a tablet. My parents used to have a record player but it broke, and their CD player broke. Recently my mom said she wishes that there were a record player that also played cassettes and CDs, and that's when I knew that I had to buy this for my parents for Christmas. Once I set it up for them and show them how to 'send' music to it, I think they'll really enjoy it. I haven't heard it play anything yet but it seems really well-made and it looks super vintage-y and fun. ... show more

  • Love it
Color: Mahogany Style: Record Player
I bought this for my husband, he got his grandparents old 78’s. It’s so much fun to listen to them on this retro looking player. The records are old and worn so they have some of that grainy sound but it just adds to the whole experience.

  • Great for smaller spaces and good sound
Color: Espresso Style: Record Player
Plays all the records we have, including the old graphite hand crank player versions. The only issue we came across is when using Bluetooth connection, you must max the volume on your device and the Victrola so you can hear it more than a few feet away.
