I bought a cheaper set as an X-mas gift for my granddaughter. The platter was made of plastic. Although it looked straight, it wasn't. Every album we played skipped and no adjustment we made helped, so I had to return it. This has a nice, very sturdy iron platter with a soft cover to protect the album and balancing for the needle/arm. The adjustment was easy and it sounds great. For it's size, it packs a strong sound punch. (My granddaughter lives in a dorm and doesn't need much). The player's materials has a high quality look. We both like that the speakers can moved and placed where we like, as it gives a better stereo sound. Bluetooth hook-up works nicely too. NOW I just have to wrap my head around the fact that it's cool to purchase viny! On the highest quality stereos there is no question vinyl sounds better. Below that, CD and Vinyl sound about the same. Regardless, It's crazy that a CD of an album can be purchased for $5 to $25, but the cheapest vinyl I've seen new is $20. Regardless, this is a very nice, easy to use, great sounding set for the price. I love also that my granddaughter and me have something to talk about and a hobby we can pursue. ... show more

The packaging for this product was the best I have ever seen. Set up was pretty straight forward; however, if you are new to vinyl players like I am, I highly recommend you watch the set up video on this products page because the instructions manual has no description other day some generic images. Once it is set up, operation was seamless. Sound quality is amazing as well. If you did not know already, the system comes with Bluetooth in case you need a break from the vinyl. I was skeptical to buy a vinyl player that came with speakers but I am very satisfied with the build, design, and sound. ... show more

    • Great concept missing the mark
The media could not be loaded. Update 12-19-23 I contacted the manufacturer through Amazon customer service. They were quick to respond and suggested some wire configuration and some cleaning. These things did not work unfortunately. However, next they suggested sending a new one to us. We got it today, set it up and immediately it's so loud and the quality is amazing. This is what we expected with the first order. I suggest if you have an issue contact the manufacturer they were super responsive and helpful and I'm now changing my review to a 5 star. It was definitely worth the money and is a great setup. I highly recommend this as your purchase if you're looking for a great record player. ---------------------------------------------------- I ordered this product back in June of 2023 and I wanted to wait to review until I had plenty of use out of it. First I want to comment on how beautiful this record player is. It has that classic look and that's the very thing that drew me to it. I love the finish on it and I love the fact that the speakers came with it as well. The setup on this is pretty easy, step by step instructions on how to put it together. It didn't take very long at all. However, the reason for my low review is the most important part of all. The sound. The Bluetooth function is amazing, when it's on its so freaking loud you can't even play it at the top of you have neighbors anywhere nearby. When using the record function though whether it be a newer recorder or older you can't even hear it if you exit the room. This is really disappointing as I did not purchase it with the intention of the Bluetooth but yet to play all the records I have on it. If anyone has any suggestions on something I may be doing wrong please help. I really don't want to have to purchase an additional sound system. I attempted to contact the manufacturer on their website but I've received no response. I submitted through Amazon today in hopes I'll hear something. My opinion as of now, if you're looking for a recorder player. I would skip this one with hopefully a better sound system or purchase a different product with your own. It is a bit confusing to put together, but was simple enough if you follow along with a YouTube video. But to be fair I know almost nothing about turntables so this probably made it more difficult. Once I got it together thought it looks, works, and sounds great! It is much better than my Emerson player, very clear sound and looks great. After not having a record player for many years and having my old records sitting in the box in the closet, my wife decided to buy this record player for me for me I say Christmas and birthday gift combined. All I have to say is that it is amazing! The sound is great and it’s beautifully made. The unit is solid and very easy to put together out of the box.
