So I did some research into this product. I live in an area where some people are getting desperate and breaking into cars. In my opinion, parking your car in a garage is the safest thing to do to protect your car but if you have to park your car outside, then this is a must. In addition to hearing and reading that more cars are getting broken into, I also read that thieves are better at getting illegal remote control key fobs to start your car without having to break anything and they can be driving off with your car in a matter of seconds to minutes. Besides locking your car, hiding valuables, parking in a well lit area, getting this Steering Wheel Lock is a great addition. You can see it from outside the car very easily and if you look thru my dirty tinted window you can still see it. Once it is on it does not come off without the keys. The keys are very unique and do not think that they can be picked. Luckily for me it comes with 3 sets of keys in case I lose one of those little suckers. Back in the day, I used to own one of the red popular name brand red steering wheel locks, that thing was cumbersome, big and heavy and it did attract a lot of attention. Fast forward to 2021 and this thing feels very sturdy and well built. It does have some weight to it but not too heavy to handle. It is a good size for a visual deterent but not too cumbersome that makes you waste time fumbling around with it. I feel very safe with this on my car. First of all, it is very sturdy and well-made. Definitely a deterrent for somebody looking to quickly steal a vehicle. It would take hours to hack-saw through this thing. Pretty easy to use once you figure out the best position for your car. Only complaint is a minor one. It almost slides out and locks too easily so if you don't get it positioned right you have to use the key to unlock it and reposition it. With a little practice though it should not pose that big of a problem. ... show more

I bought this because I own a 2016 Hyundai Elantra GT. Because of a TikTok "challenge", currently that is THE MOST STOLEN MODEL in the U.S. My sister also owns a Hyundai. About a month before I bought this someone broke into her car attempting to steal it and caused about $1,000 damage. WITH THE SUPPLIED KEY this is EXTREMELY easy to INSTALL AND REMOVE. I deliberately bought the one with the RED handle because FROM OUTSIDE IT WILL BE MORE VISIBLE than the blue or black handle ones. EVEN IF I AM IN AN AREA WITH CLOSE-BY SECURITY I STILL USE THIS. The reason is so that I don't get into a "sometimes" habit--and my car gets stolen the ONE time I forget. **DON'T JUST THROW AWAY THE BOX** CUT OUT THE PICTURE. Then if you use a sun shield or are parking in a poorly lit area PUT THE PICTURE WHERE IT IS EASILY VISIBLE THROUGH YOUR FRONT WINDSHIELD. That will let people know this is installed--even if they can't see through tinted SIDE windows, etc. ... show more
