- Vehicle requirements: This kit is designed for both push-to-start and key blade ignition vehicles. Gas and automatic transmission only. Factory remote required. Some vehicle disassembly may be required; see installation guide for details. As a safety precaution, vehicle will shut down when door is opened; vehicle must be restarted before driving.
- Use your factory remote: Start your vehicle by pressing "lock-unlock-lock" on your existing OEM key fob. Press "lock-unlock-lock" again to turn off vehicle. Factory remote required no remote is included in this kit. The distance you can remote start from is the same distance you can lock/unlock your vehicle. Increase your remote start distance with a Start-X range extender kit (sold separately).
- Optional remote range extender kit: Increase your remote start distance up to half a mile. Includes two separate remotes used to start your vehicle in place of your OEM key fob. Available in 1-way (up to 2000-feet) and 2-way (up to 3000-feet) systems.

Bought this for my boyfriend for xmas gift and it works perfectly! I wouldn't say you can install in minutes but under an hour was still pretty quick and easy. Instructions were pretty easy to understand and now he has a warmed up truck in the early hours during the winter!

After talking to various shops and even Ford, I had given up on a remote start except there the Ford app. I found this and decided to try it. Very very simple. This device is literally plug and play. If your tired of using the app, def buy this and take 10 mins to install and program.

I decided to purchase this unit after ford stated putting restrictions on app I used to remote start my truck. Instructions were clear and I didn't need any tool except for a screwdriver. Once the unit was programmed (verry easy) I can remote start my truck without agreeing to having my information and driving information sent to Ford through the phone app. Now I can start my truck using the original key fob. Just delete the ford app and use this. I've been using this for over a year and it still works well.

This couldn't be easier than it was. Holy cow. The instructions at first seem impossibly understated, but no, it's actually that easy. 5 Minutes if you don't know what you're doing. Two and a half minutes if you do. It works great and was the first upgrade I should have done to the truck when I got it (facepalm). Used my regular key fob, didn't have to have one with the remote start button, since it uses the lock-unlock-lock key sequence to start the car. No special programming needed on the car, it all just worked.

I would not recommend because it made my 2023 Ford f150 fried the control box$1,000 part for $180 don't do it
