- Use your factory remote: Start your vehicle by pressing "lock-unlock-lock" on your existing OEM key fob. Press "lock-unlock-lock" again to turn off vehicle. Factory remote required no remote is included in this kit. The distance you can remote start from is the same distance you can lock/unlock your vehicle. Increase your remote start distance with a Start-X range extender kit (sold separately).
- Optional remote range extender kit: Increase your remote start distance up to half a mile. Includes two separate remotes used to start your vehicle in place of your OEM key fob. Available in 1-way (up to 2000-feet) and 2-way (up to 3000-feet) systems.
- Plug and play installation: Included vehicle-specific T-harness eliminates wire cutting and splicing for fast, easy install. Installation video provides clear step-by-step instructions. Module is pre-flashed for your vehicles firmware to ensure seamless integration. Technical and customer support team available for additional help.

This couldn't be easier than it was. Holy cow. The instructions at first seem impossibly understated, but no, it's actually that easy. 5 Minutes if you don't know what you're doing. Two and a half minutes if you do. It works great and was the first upgrade I should have done to the truck when I got it (facepalm). Used my regular key fob, didn't have to have one with the remote start button, since it uses the lock-unlock-lock key sequence to start the car. No special programming needed on the car, it all just worked.

After talking to various shops and even Ford, I had given up on a remote start except there the Ford app. I found this and decided to try it. Very very simple. This device is literally plug and play. If your tired of using the app, def buy this and take 10 mins to install and program.

I decided to purchase this unit after ford stated putting restrictions on app I used to remote start my truck. Instructions were clear and I didn't need any tool except for a screwdriver. Once the unit was programmed (verry easy) I can remote start my truck without agreeing to having my information and driving information sent to Ford through the phone app. Now I can start my truck using the original key fob. Just delete the ford app and use this. I've been using this for over a year and it still works well.

This is fantastic! My new F-150 STX didn't come with remote start outside of the FordPass app, so I bought this and installed it to give me remote start with my key fob. Super easy to install and setup. Works perfectly.

Easy install, I’m by no means “handy” I almost gave up putting window shades in my living room because I couldn’t figure out the clip… This remote start system is easy peasy, when your glovebox tray is out just take out the (dark gray) plug, little tricky angle for your whole hand but use your fingers strength it’ll come out, put that end on the “T” cable then the other end of your cable where you took out the gray (plug n play) like a piggy back no cutting no splicing it’s really plugging in Programming the unit is easy too, wires to the unit (also plugs) but small in steps, starting your truck waiting 5 seconds (read their instructions) it’s a paragraph+ more detailed but easy I’m short I’m happy with purchase, decent unit (quality) for what I paid $150, declined Ford pass remote start (poor coverage some places it’s parked, this is a real good plan B Edit: when installing the wire clips be careful the trucks unfinished metal on your hand, my wrist was on the bare metal as my fingers pulled the clip.

2022 F150 The instruction video link from the packaged instructions only go through physically installing the hardware, which is super easy. It is though the glove box, not under the steering wheel (2022 F150). They should either include in the video the programming instructions or say in the video to refer to the instructions in the box for programming, which is adequate. They should also clarify that after you remote start your vehicle, it will run until it’s runs out of gas if you forget it’s running. As far as I can tell, you can’t “remote turn off” your vehicle. You have to get into it, turn the key like you’re staring it, then turn it off normally too cut the engine. 2022 F150.
