Some vehicle disassembly may be required; see installation guide for details. As a safety precaution, vehicle will shut down when door is opened; vehicle must be restarted before driving.
- Use your factory remote: Start your vehicle by pressing "lock-unlock-lock" on your existing OEM key fob. Press "lock-unlock-lock" again to turn off vehicle. Factory remote required no remote is included in this kit. The distance you can remote start from is the same distance you can lock/unlock your vehicle. Increase your remote start distance with a Start-X range extender kit (sold separately).
- Optional remote range extender kit: Increase your remote start distance up to half a mile. Includes two separate remotes used to start your vehicle in place of your OEM key fob. Available in 1-way (up to 2000-feet) and 2-way (up to 3000-feet) systems.
- Plug and play installation: Included vehicle-specific T-harness eliminates wire cutting and splicing for fast, easy install. Installation video provides clear step-by-step instructions. Module is pre-flashed for your vehicles firmware to ensure seamless integration. Technical and customer support team available for additional help.

After talking to various shops and even Ford, I had given up on a remote start except there the Ford app. I found this and decided to try it. Very very simple. This device is literally plug and play. If your tired of using the app, def buy this and take 10 mins to install and program.

2022 F150 The instruction video link from the packaged instructions only go through physically installing the hardware, which is super easy. It is though the glove box, not under the steering wheel (2022 F150). They should either include in the video the programming instructions or say in the video to refer to the instructions in the box for programming, which is adequate. They should also clarify that after you remote start your vehicle, it will run until it’s runs out of gas if you forget it’s running. As far as I can tell, you can’t “remote turn off” your vehicle. You have to get into it, turn the key like you’re staring it, then turn it off normally too cut the engine. 2022 F150.
