After going without an edger for years and years, I finally got tired if using my string attachment and bought this. A dedicated edger, for the amount I have to do, was overkill and overpriced. This was perfect for my needs. This came easy to assemble and easy to use. Just remember that this isn't a dedicated commercial edger and take it easy on the unit. So far, after about 5 edging sessions, I've broken it in and figured out the best way to utilize this little beast. My edging looks great-nice and even. Just dont try and go too deep right away. Use the minimum depth and make small increments from there. I keep the throttle on my gas unit "floored" and have no issues at all. This thing works great! So if you want to stop burning through all your string and get nice uniform results, spend a lot less than you would for an expensive standalone edger and put your order in for this universal edger attachment. You will be happy you did. If you are wondering about durability, just get the extended warranty and you will still be money ahead! ... show more

I was initially interested in this for use with my Husqvarna 128CD. I usually edge and trim two properties, and I was tired of eating up string to edge the curb and walkways. The shipping was quick and everything showed up in one piece, with no signs of damage. Installation was super easy. All you have to do is remove your existing attachment and push this one into its place. To remove your old attachment, just loosen the knob located halfway down the shaft, push the little silver button, and pull. To install the new one, just perform these steps in reverse. The attachment came pre greased and ready to go. I’ve used this several times and have had absolutely no issues. This cut my edging time in half and there is no need to change string. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone with a weed eater that is capable of accepting attachments. This was a fraction of the cost of the factory attachment and works great. ... show more

Do your homework on powerhead compatibility - there are a lot of attachment systems out there, and this edger wasn't compatible with my HyperTough trimmer. Because "Buyer pays return shipping" made this essentially non-returnable, I ended up buying an attachment-capable Troy-Built gas trimmer with a compatible coupler. Once I was able to put the edger to work, it performed better than my B&D plugin electric trimmer, and made quick work of my first-of-the-season spring edging on a large corner lot. Wet grass and dirt do pack up the edger's guard, but I've yet to find an edger that is immune to that. Would recommend the product. Will see how well the included blade holds up. ... show more
