Just arrived today and installed. Riding extremely smooth, perfect fit on XLS model, took 15 minutes to install...and I'm a disabled veteran. One helpful tip: the top rollers have independent bolts and nuts with metal spacer...NO washers needed (even though washers came with rollers...must be for other models). The bottom two rollers have independent bolts...but NOT independent nuts...there is a solid cylindrical spacer/nut the bolts feed into. Found it very helpful once the replacement roller is on to align one side and screw bolt into cylinder just enough to secure it and then replace other roller and align with cylinder. If you tighten down one side it makes it difficult to align the other roller since there is little movement afforded the cylinder. Once the new rollers are installed...the gliding is effortless, quiet and solid! Highly recommend to other XLS users. ... show more

I purchased my Total Gym XL off the informercial with Chuck Norris & Christie Brinkley in the late 90's. The only problem I ever had with it was when one of the bottom wheels disintegrated as I was doing leg presses. I found these replacements. They arrived quickly and fit perfectly.

    • Indent bearings for rear wheels
I have the Total Gym Fit model. The top section wheels bolted right on no problem due to a lot more tolerance/room. The bottom wheels did not. I had to push the bearings inwards so the spacers would fit. The factory wheels bearings are indented. They are not flush with the wheel so you may have to push the bearings in to create that space. I wish they came with directions but it was easy enough to install. I've had them for a few days. They work and the Total Gym XLS rolls smoothly now back and forth. I'll soon be as awesome as Chuck Norris and Christie Brinkley. Note: I also bought some pins to hold the foot attachment in place.
