This is my second total gym. They have too many models, but I chose this one (truth is I didn't get it from amazon, but from another site -- check prices all over for the best deal) because it is sturdy and it had extra attachments. It is a solid piece of equipment (my earlier model lasted twenty years, but was lighter weight; I bought another for a second home). Note that because it is heavy, opening and closing it is easy, but you have to be careful because a "thud" is indeed a thud. Ouch. Pay attention, and you're fine. I bought one for a second home as I was recovering from knee surgery. I needed to do one-legged exercises, easy to do. I also needed to be able to still work on my arms without standing up and putting weight on my knee -- very easy to do. The bottom level is very easy...the top level is extremely hard. The cards that come with it are OK, and the DVD/digital stuff -- throw it out. Go on YouTube and watch some videos by third party users. It does fold up out of the way against the wall (under a bed? Maybe, but against a wall will keep it out of the way, and is easier to open/close/use). I've had this model for two years, still a fan. Would buy again. ... show more

This would be a really great training equipment, if it didn't come with - a deformed wheel that makes weird sounds when training (and looks like it might fall apart soon). - a safety pin that already fell apart after approx. 20 uses. - and tons of dents and scratches. - the wing attachment can't be attached to the bottom. Bad welding! New condition? I don't think so! What's even worse: - the vendor seems to have dissapeared, can't be contacted, - Amazon won't allow us to contact them, refers to the vendor or wants us to return it. - Total Gym US or Europe also don't give a ..... They only seem to care about selling stuff, not their customers' satisfaction! Sending it back from Germany to the US after paying nearly 3000$ doesn't make sense! All we want is a replacement for the damaged parts and maybe a reimbursement for the partly bad condition. Buy anywhere else but here!!!!! ... show more
