  • Works great! Powerful and light
Size: 160 mph Blower Style: Blower Vac
I bought this primarily to blow the leaves out of my landscaping beds and other places I can't rake. Perfect! Low speed was usually adequate - would get the leaves but not the ground cover (mulch & rocks). I used the higher speeds to get the leaves stuck in the bushes, etc. Once I had this out, I thought, eh, maybe I should see how this thing works on the rest of my yard? Well, no problem there, either - on high speed, this thing blew leaves with abandon. I should note that I live adjacent to woods, so we're talking a LOT of leaves. I suspect about the only situation where this might struggle is with a thick layer of really wet leaves. But it had no problem with a lot of damp ones, and of course dry ones were no sweat. So unless you have a real heavy-duty situation, I expect this could handle it. It's compact and light. I felt like switching hands only after using it for long periods. Noise: low speed is about like a hairdryer. High speed is like, well, a louder hairdryer. You shouldn't get any complaints from your neighbors. I read a few concerns here about the cord, but there's a hook on the back where you can attach the extension cord in such a way it takes the pressure off the imbedded cord. It's clearly described in the instructions, and I've done that and have no concerns about working the cord too hard. Assuming this holds up ok, I'd buy again in a heartbeat. ... show more

  • Tough little blower, good for more than just blowing leaves...
Size: 160 mph Blower Style: Blower Vac
When we moved from the suburbs to a wooded area about 2 years ago, I start looking for a blower to help clear my 60 foot long driveway. When I saw the price and reviews for this one, I thought I couldn't go wrong. Now my only regret is that I wasted years moving leaves without one of these. In my opinion, a leaf blower is one of the most fun tools in the garage. And this one puts out a much better windstorm than I expected when I opened the smallish box. After I snapped on the funnel attachment, the thing was ready to go. One lesson I learned quickly was to run the power cord through the loop and clip under the back of the handle -- put there to prevent the cord from coming unplugged. Still, I was immediately impressed. This moves dry leaves great! I still pick up a rake from time to time for piles of wet leaves but only when I'm in a hurry. You can still move wet debris with the high setting. And I really like that there is a low setting, because I use that for flowerbeds and mulched areas. Seems just right for cleaning leaves out without disturbing anything else. But I'm even more amazed at the versatility and ruggedness of this blower. I use it for much more than clearing leaves: 1) Drying off stuff that's wet (bikes, cars, children). After a messy ride, I'll get the hose out and wash the mud of my bike, and then switch the blower to high and dry off the whole thing by tracing the bike with the end of the nozzle. Works great. I've also used it for blowing water off my car after wash. And of course, chasing kids around with the blower is fun too. 2) Moving Snow. Despite my wife telling me I look like a redneck, I now approach snow removal with a shovel in one hand, blower in the other. This method works great for our gravel driveway. In the past, we'd pushing rocks around with the snow shovels, but the blower works great for cleaning the snow off. For light fluffy snows, I don't even carry a shovel. For deeper snows, I push most of the snow off, and then run the blower behind the shovel. This blower has been covered in snow a few times (even dropped in the snow), but it keeps coming on and doing the job. 3) Starting fires. After blowing the leaves away for campfires, this blower on the low setting helps get the flames going on those glowing embers. 4) And of course, general cleaning. Let's just say I don't sweep my garage, deck, or paved areas anymore. I even clean my furnace's air filter by first blowing the dust of out it. That's true of anything else I might pull of my garage that just needs the dust blown off. This is definitely a product I would buy over and over again. Great value, versatility, and the thing is reliable. I've been using it for well over a year in all seasons, and the thing still blows me away (*folks!*) every time. ... show more

  • Not bad
Size: 160 mph Blower Style: Blower Vac
We recently acquired an property with a lot of leafy trees and this is my first blower. When the shipment arrived, I thought that Amazon shipped the wrong item because it came in a tiny box. Snap the tube on, connect the cord and it's ready to use. The power switch is somewhat touchy. When trying to select low speed, it is easy to accidentally bump it into high speed. I accidentally blasted away a bunch of bark and made a crater. Oops. During low speed use, it's also easy to accidentally bump the power switch to off. The power receptacle is mounted on a short cable tail on the back end. I have several other lawn tools that have the receptacle integrated into the shell with a hook to retain the cord and I prefer that arrangement. When you reach the end of the extension cord, it disconnects easily and cuts power. There's also no strain relief so I think that eventually I will be repairing this short section of cord. Although it looks and feels like a toy, it seems to work well on flat surfaces and bark, but struggles a little with leaves in wet grass. It just takes longer but still gets it done. I also used it to clear the gutters of leaves and it worked well. I removed the tube making it even smaller and lighter. There were a few times when the thrust nearly knocked me off the ladder. Noise level is excellent, especially on low. Think giant hairdryer. It is much lighter, quieter and not smelly compared to the big gas blowers. I was originally considering the Toro Ultra, but I was unsure how much vacuuming and mulching I would do and wanted something lighter, less expensive, and less cumbersome. ... show more

  • One word, Toro! That's all you need.
Size: 160 mph Blower Style: Blower Vac
I had just moved into a new house in November of 2019 and decided to find a cheap blower just to blow leaves off of my front porch. I wanted to spend as little as possible because all I wanted it for was getting leaves off my porch and a blower would be faster and easier that sweeping. I ran across this blower and the name Toro was a brand I'd heard of and it was the cheapest I could find for $40.00. Now, coming up on 7 years it's still keeping my porch free of leaves and also my yard along with neighbors and friends yards too. And I can't count the number of times it has been left out in the open yard in the pouring rain and even below freezing temperatures in the winter. It has never one time failed to start or quit running on me. I recommend Toro leaf blowers to everyone and hopefully look to get 7 or more years out of it. Thanks Toro for a great product. ... show more

  • Blow Your House Down
Size: 160 mph Blower Style: Blower Vac
The Toro Power Sweep 2-Speed Blower has been great for me thus far. The box it came in was smaller than I expected, but this is because the plastic extension on the end is removeable and came in two pieces. Setup was a snap... literally. You put the plastic extension piece on and it "snaps" together. It is truely ready to use right out of the box, which is great. This unit is very lightweight. I have nothing to compare it to, as far as other blowers are concerned, but I find it very easy to hold and use to sweep back and forth without having my arms get tired and want to fall off. Its nice that it has two speeds, but I find myself just using the highest speed as it blows the hardest. This thing really does blow and it blows hard! I find it perfect for the grass that didn't get picked up by the mower or the leaves that need to be put into a pile. It blows hard enough to get the rocks back into the yard, too. I even used this thing to blow the dust out of my insanely dusty computer (and it worked like a charm)! Another great thing about this blower is that its electric! No smelling like gas or vibrations that make your hands and arms tingle. I haven't found a problem using a cord at all, as some people have complained about in past reviews. Maybe I'm just used to it, but having a cord is no more an inconvenience than having to refuel the gas in a gas blower. So, all in all, this is a great blower. I will continue to update this review as time goes on with any updates. But at the time of this review, this has been a great blower and performs beyond my expectations. I would recommend this to anyone. ... show more

  • This machine blew me away!!
Size: 160 mph Blower Style: Blower Vac
This is the perfect blower! As long as you are not a commercial gardener or landscaper, who is working with tons of acreage, I can't imagine this blower couldn't handle anything. I am using it constantly on our big yard and it really blows! In a great way. Very strong and light, I love that it was so inexpensive, light weight and powerful. I read a lot of reviews and wasn't sure, because all the other blowers I looked at were so much more expensive, but it is a Toro, a great brand, and I am so glad I got it!! Since it is fairly compact, I leave it on the back porch and just grab and go over the yard every day practically because it is so easy and gets the job done in about five minutes. I used to HATE dragging out the giant blower I used to have and then trying to hang it back up and it was huge and ugly. I know its ridiculous, but small stuff you use all the time can really make a difference, so, I highly recommend this to anyone!!! An extra plus is that if you are older or have arthritis, it is easier to use! ... show more

  • The Perfect Storm
Size: 160 mph Blower Style: Blower Vac
There is nothing like a sporty little tool to put the fun back into something that has become a dreaded chore. It isn't so much the work that we dread, but the amount of time it takes to get it done. Two lovely tall trees provide us with wonderful shade in the summertime, beautiful golden glory in early autumn...and hours and hours and hours of raking when the leaves come down. This little blower is Amazing! It is light and easy to handle, your own private windstorm swooping all those leaves where you want them to go for quick pick-up. It's also great for the walkway, patio, and garage. I considered another model slightly cheaper with only one speed, but opted for this and I'm happy I spent the extra six dollars. It's nice to lower the speed in spots where you might not need all the enthusiasm of the higher speed stirring up extra dust or ravaging tender plants. I am looking forward to trying this to blow light dusting of snow off vehicles, as another reviewer suggested. I did briefly experience the annoyance with the plug popping out of the connection where the extension cord plugs into the blower. A friend showed me how to loop the cord through the place on the back of blower they have designed for this problem--now it's fine. It is a tad noisy, (nothing like the big gas powered blowers, just big hairdryer type noisy) --this doesn't bother me, but I'm hoping not to rouse a neighbor from a necessary nap! We love this blower...great price, lots of fun, gets the jobs done! ... show more

  • It does what I ask, and not anything more
Size: 160 mph Blower Style: Blower Vac
I purchased this blower to replace an older black and decker 12 amp blower that had died on me. I did a decent amount of research here, and decided that I would go for the cheaper version, rather than the 260 MPH version. In short this thing does exactly what I asked, nothing more, nothing less. Overall I think I would have been happier with the higher speed version for about $15 - $20 more WITHOUT the vacuum and mulch attachments. I didn't need those, and wouldn't use them, so I got this thing instead. The high speed on this model seems to be like the lower speed on the black and decker that I had. That might be handy for some people, but I would enjoy more power. I dont believe that I would have an easy time blowing around some wet grass or something along those lines. One thing that bothered me was that there was some pretty severe vibration through the handle, enough to feel it after you are finished. There was a hook that is intended to keep the cord from unplugging which was useful. I can see the point with the other reviewers about the switch being close together, but if the finger is off the switch no worries. Other points... it was very small and lightweight, I was thinking it would be atleast double the size, but was very small. The quality of it seems to be okay, and not as cheap as a black and decker, but time will tell. Pros: + Small and Lightweight + Seems to be quality construction + Two speed blower + Cord retainer Cons: - Vibration through the handle - Power from blower is so-so After all of that, I really think I'd have been happier with the larger, higher speed model. The cons are worth a star apiece in my opinion, but it IS functional so I can't fault it for that. If you need a blower with no frills, this will work for you. If you need a blower with a bit more oomph to it, look elsewhere. ... show more
