I had to wait someone needed more chickens to try this out. I have only ever used a short tub, heat lamp and pan of water to incubate, so I am excited to try this out. THE GOOD: Great protective packaging! There were a few small broken foam pieces that cling - but I'm not mad about it because the foam did its job and protected the machine. Set up was easy. Instructions for the incubator portion are clear and exact, without being overwhelming. Refill water for hydrometer every 1-2 days, which is an improvement over my previous setup. When I add water I'll keep an eye on humidity level as well, making any necessary adjustment. Super easy. Overall, other than it being in C⁰ I'm impressed thus far. THE BAD: Instructions didn't have ANYTHING to say about the hydrometer, which I find really strange considering the rest of the instructions. The hydrometer measures humidity, and you can adjust the level, but I had to check online for the proper humidity level, since the instructions did not include this information. Also, it's in Celcius only, not Fahrenheit, with no way to change it. I'll have to write the proper humidity range (converted to Celcius) on some paper and tape it on the bottle, because I will definitely forget from one time to the next. OVERALL: Great general instructions, easy enough for first time incubator users, even. Other than the missing information regarding proper humidity level/range in the instructions, and the fact that it measures in Celcius only, all I have are praises for this incubator. Four stars. Knocking off one star for lack of hydrometer instruction and the lack of Fahrenheit option. Although it's fairly easy to work around the limit, I believe hydrometer instructions and Fahrenheit option should have been included in the first place. If I run into any issues whatsoever, I will update this review with a report.
