New instruments will take a few days to adapt to the tension of the strings pulling at the body, this can also be affected by temperature and humidity. During this time you'll need to adjust the tuning as and when required at the beginning. What might cause a ukulele to go out of tune? 1. Changes in humidity will cause the wood expansion and contraction. 2. Temperature fluctuations casue string tension changes 3. Excessive pressure or frequet bending the strings, espsecially on higher frets can affect the tuning. How to choose my first ukulele? 1. The 23" Concert ukulele is of moderate size with a balanced tone, making it easy for anyone to all level players and all ages. 2. If for the kids under 5 years old or players with small hands or short fingers, you can choose 21" soprano . How to Maintenance & Care the ukulele 1. When not playing for a long time, loosen the strings and lay the instrument flat, avoiding leaning against a wall or under pressure. 2. Maintain the humidity of the storage environment between 40% and 60% to avoid high or low humidity. How long and how to clean ukulele? 1. Gently wipe the ukulele body with a dedicated polishing cloth, and avoid using wet wipes. 2. Clean the fingerboard with fingerboard cleaner every 4-6 months to keep it as good as new.
