So my 2nd Bissell Crosswave took its last breath recently, and I needed to find a replacement, because I live in the country and I have kids and pets. I have wood and laminate floors through my 1600 sq ft house, except in bedrooms. I have had it about 4 or 5 days now, and wow...My floors are squeaky clean! Even cleaner than my Bissell ever got them. Plus the Tineco on the steam setting gets stuck on messes up fairly easily. I do have to go over a few times if something is really stuck on there, but I haven't had to get down on my hands and knees and scrub, which is really nice! I use the auto mode for just going over everything else. My floors dry very quickly, too. The cord is nice and long and heavy duty, and I don't have to keep plugging it in another outlet. I can usually get all of my living room and hallway and part of my kitchen before having to plug in somewhere else. It is also pretty quiet when running it without the voice prompts. I also love that I don't have to buy cleaner solution for it, and they send an extra brush and filter. Nice! Things that are a little on the annoying side....I do wish the clean water tank was bigger. It goes through clean water while you're cleaning pretty quickly, especially when using the steam. However that is to be expected since it uses more water in steam mode. It does leave streaks on my floor in some spots that are a little on the uneven side, but they dry disappear pretty quickly, and that isn't a big bother for me. The voice prompts to self clean, empty the tank, add water can get kind of annoying, and seems that if you are cleaning a really messy floor, it will prompt you to do the self clean quite often. My floor got really dirty in the few days between my old machine not working and waiting for this one, and when I first used it, it prompted me to do the self clean literally every couple minutes after running it for about 5 minutes in one of the dirtiest spots on my floor. However, once it got the brush nice and clean, and I checked the dirt sensor, it ran fine for the rest of the room. I only had to run the self clean once after that. So that is a tad of an inconvenience, but also understand it helps keep the machine running properly. (You can turn the voice prompts off, which is what I did. Just be sure to watch the lights when you need to empty the tank and stuff) So, despite those minor issues, I'm very happy with it. It does a superb job cleaning the floors.     • The Greatest Vacuum Mop Ever
Size: Floor ONE S7 Steam
This vacuum mop can cut through any mess and does so without any chemical solution. Just add water! The combination of the brush and the powerful suction are on par with a professional cleaning company. It digs into my porous tile and pulls everything out. I read so many reviews of this and other similar products and wish I hadn’t waited to buy it. The cordless feature makes it a breeze to use. I have not had any issue with the charge time, it's adequate to get most jobs done and I find it charges quickly. The mop is elegant and I have it set up on the periphery of the kitchen so I use it and simply charge it. I haven’t used the steam function as much because the chemical-free brush and suction are all you need. The unit is very easy to clean and maintain. You will not regret buying this. The manufacturer reminds you to empty the tank after each use and this is a must because it’s so effective at cleaning without any additional solution that the water will stink. This vacuum mop is so wonderful I would buy it again without reservation even at this price point which is on the higher side. Best purchase I’ve made in years. ... show more

    • A Bit Pricey But The Best I've Found
Size: Floor ONE S5 Steam
The Tineco FLOOR ONE S5 Steam (hereafter referred to as "S5") is my third attempt (also have a Hoover and a Karcher) to find a hard floor (both ceramic tile and hardwood) cleaner that not only cleans (they all pretty much do that), but is also not a major hassle to setup for each use. I believe I have found the answer in the S5. The Karcher uses rollers for cleaning like the S5, but has two smaller rollers on either side of a drive unit which leaves a cleaning "gap" which requires considerable overlap to cover. It also only scrubs, requiring a prevacuum for any debris and sometimes a postvacuum as well to pick up lint from the rollers. The Hoover does have a vacuum function, but it is a separate mode requiring two passes: one to scrub, one to vacuum the water. It is also ultra-noisy and the dirty water tank has to be emptied at least twice if cleaning all the floors in one go. The cleaning head on the Hoover is also very difficult to thoroughly clean. Tineco does not recommend the use of any cleaning agent with the S5 Steam, so prepping the unit for use simply consists of filling the clean water tank. It vacuums and cleans simultaneously, so no pre- or post-vacuuming required. The unit is very quiet and extremely well-built. Although mostly "plastic" (as pretty much all floor cleaners are these days), it is of very high quality with a solid feeling. Not at all cheap feeling like the Bissell units I've looked at. I was able to do the entire house with just one refilling of the clean water tank (your mileage may vary) and didn't have to empty the dirty water tank until done. I used the steam setting on both the ceramic tile and hardwood flooring and both cleaned perfectly without the use of a separate cleaning solution. Both prior to and after purchase I contacted Tineco with questions and their customer support was excellent both times. The S5 is a bit pricey compared to the competition, but in terms of build quality, ease of use, performance, and customer service, the Tineco S5 Steam is the best choice. ... show more
