We didn't have an easy way to add a drain or power so we went with a conditioner. I've just finished the install and am still evaluating it. 1 month: There is no more mineral buildup in the electric hot water pot or coffee maker tank. The dechlorinatiom is working well. If I leave water sitting in the coffee maker tank for extended periods, now algae starts to grow so I need to empty it completely once a week or so. Also, the hot/cold water bias in the spigots and showers changed for a few days - my guess is that mineral buildup was working its way out. ... show more
