I am so pleased with this can opener. I have rheumatoid arthritis, so twisting and gripping can openers can be uncomfortable. This one is effortless. The whole thing is lightweight but feels quality, the handles are comfortable to grip, and the cutting mechanism is so sharp and effective that I never feel even a twinge of pain while turning the knob. It's as if there is no resistance at all. I've been using it for 6 months, and it's still as good as new.

I’ve never owned anything made by Gorilla that wasn’t glue or tape. Based strictly on their outstanding products of adhesive, I thought it was a safe bet their standard of excellence would carry over to everything they make. So far, that’s proving to be true. This can opener feels very sturdy, works great, and every indication is that we’ll be opening cans with it for many years to come. It’s easy, and very sharp. I’m not sure I remember using a brand new can opener before. It’s one of those things that’s just always in the kitchen drawer. It looks good, too, available in red, the same color as all of our kitchen appliances, so it’s very easy to see in a crowded drawer.

I bought this for the color (well, I needed a can opener, but the good ratings being equal, I chose this one for the color). and I'm glad I did!! Because not only is it lovely, but it's also the best and easiest to use can opener I've ever had. The handles and knobs are plastic, offering a solid, unslippery place to grip, even with wet hands. As when easy to grasp As I get older, this is more important to me - I'm 56 and my hand squeeze grip isn't what it used to be; I appreciate that this can opener is solid and easy to grasp and hold. The knob turns easily and smoothly - even over not-entirely round cans - with only a normal amount of effort; no death grip required. I opened a dented can with it a couple of weeks ago with no issues. The can opener is solidly constructed and the blade sharp; I rinse and set it to dry after use and have seen no signs of rust (I've had it several months and use it daily). Best part of all? This can opener works its magic in such a way that THERE ARE NO SHARP EDGES LEFT IN THE CAN. The removed lid has sharp edges, but the can does NOT. Which means that my hands AND my silicone spatulas and scrapers aren't getting any injury or damage. And did I mention the lovely blue color?

I love this can opener. I guess I've always had terrible can openers prior to this one, but its sturdy, works evenly, easy on the wrist and feels like I won't need another can opener for years to come.

What what do you know about? Can openers? In 2025 the manual ones are still handy to have in your camper camping set and your kitchen drawer. I was cooking Thanksgiving dinner at my daughter's house and her ancient decrepit can opener. Made a quick job slow and frustrating. This can opener looks fantastic in the advertisement. So I sent it to her and she is using it and was happy about smoothing out the sharp edges. I like the grip on it. It's good for all hands and it has a pretty good turning ratio. It comes in lots of colors. Other people have commented on the color they got but black is a pretty standard color and this opener is multifunctional and easy to clean. Compared to the other ones I looked out while I was shopping for it. This was the best choice and will go lots of places.
