My cats kept scratching at the carpet under my door when it was closed, I needed to do something before they completely destroyed my flooring. This was easy to install and is super cute on the door itself instead of a rectangle flap like traditional dog/cat doors. I don't have a jigsaw I used a multitool, I think it would have been easier with a jig saw but I used what I had. For those worried about cutting holes in doors.. even at rental houses, a new slab interior door is under $50 at home depot, new flooring is a lot more expensive. So unless you have a very unique, expensive or antique door.. this is definitely easier/worth it. I wish that the "locking" part of the door could only be "unlocked" from one side.. would be easier to keep kids from opening it when my door is locked for privacy lol but that's not the products issue.. it's purely mom status issues lol ... show more

The media could not be loaded. We absolutely LOVE IT! we have 3 cats & they all 3 go in & out with no problem! It’s literally so cute & classy to add to our door! We have it on our grange door going to the house bc our litter boxes are in the garage but we will be buying 2 more for our bedrooms so our kitties can go in & out but we can also keep our doors closed 10 stars! ... show more

Very easy to install and build quality is good for the price. Lockable door makes it easy to keep pets in/out when needed or for additional privacy. Would be nice if the door had a tension hinge so that it would stay open when open. I ended up using a magnetic strip to hold the door open when it's open. ... show more

We purchased this product before, from this company, without the door attached, and it worked great. We now need to separate our cat from the main level of our home occasionally so I purchased the product with a door attached. It worked well for a few days but ultimately our cat figured out how to unlock the door. It seems like the plastic lock mechanism slides open too easily. ... show more

As soon as I saw The Kitty Pass Interior Cat Door, I knew I had to get one for our laundry room door. We keep the cat boxes next to the dryer in our utility/laundry room and we always had to leave it open for the cats. Unfortunately, that also meant that the dogs could get in there as well. That was until we came across The Kitty Pass Interior Cat Door! Our only concern was if our larger and taller cats would be able to fit through but there was an easy solution to it, I simply raised the cat door up a few inches and continued the arc on the bottom and it gives plenty of room for our larger cats to get through. If you have a large kitty, you may need to do something similar, but it is definitely worth it! We can now keep the laundry room door shut to keep the dogs out and so that we can run the washer & dryer without it making too much noise in the kitchen. We are very glad we got the Kitty Pass Interior Cat Door and we can definitely recommend it! ... show more

    • Decent kitty door, but could be cheaper
I thought this was a bit expensive for what it was. It does work well and does what is advertised. I think it should be better designed so you can set the door to stay open in addition to stay closed. One negative is cutting a hole in your door to install this increased the noise pass through.
