This has been a game changer! We had all sorts of critters eating the chicken feed so we were going through it SO FAST. This has been great. It holds so much so we just leave it out and put the caps in place at bedtime. At first the critters tried to get into it and you can see their scratches, but they couldn't. We caught and relocated 2 opossums and 5 skunks that were having a nightly smorgasbord. Super easy to put together and love that it's durable metal. It locks in place well and keeps dry (though it is under a covered area so...)     • Finally a Feeder That Keeps Rats Out!

I am extremely happy with this chicken feeder. I have tried several feeders before, but this is by far the best one. The lid closes securely, which helps keep the feed clean and dry. At night I can simply close it, so rodents and other pests cannot access the feed. This has greatly reduced feed waste on my farm. Another feature I really appreciate is the metal construction. My previous plastic feeders were chewed and damaged by rats, but this feeder is made of sturdy metal and holds up much better. It keeps the feed protected, reduces waste, and helps prevent unwanted animals from getting into it. If you have chickens and struggle with rodents or feed loss, I highly recommend this feeder. It's beautiful and well made. My chickens took right to it. I just didn't realize I had to put it together. Some how thought I would only need to put the legs on. I appreciate that it holds a whole bag of food!

I read many of the reviews before buying this feeder. I really liked the idea of capacity, waste-free component, and easy of assembly. I found it very easy to assemble, but new users may find they need to change the leg height once or even twice to get it right - a variety of chicken sizes can be a challenge. The reviewers who said it is waste-free must not have put feed into it. It is far from waste free - if possible, put it on a surface from which some of the flock will eat the spillage, but definitely expect lots of waste. I attached a photo to show the waste from just a couple of hours of it being used. Hopefully the waste will feed the worms and bugs the chickens can eat. By the way, I have used this feeder for a few days now so my review is based on some experience with it. ... show more

I bought 2 of these. I've been through more than one feeder trying to find something that will hold a decent amount of food but keep it dry of it off the floor. I've only had them in the coops for a little over a week but so far so good. The assembly was easy, a little tedious but for what it is, it wasn't bad! It had all the parts, the parts quality was solid, nothing bent or broken, it was all sturdy. The price was amazing and it holds a lot of feed! Not quite 50lbs but really close I mean within a scoop or two of being close. I think it depends on what size feed granules you have and what brand it is as to if you can fit 50lbs. I've seen mixed reviews on it but for me, this holds enough that I don't have to go out there as often to drop feed. ... show more

Overall it’s a nice feeder. But some of the holes for screws were not drilled enough for the screws. So I ended up just not using the screws and cover the holes with hot glue gun. And it was missing the instructions, so I had to redo it like three times so it hold together. Didn’t had time and opportunity to return it. ... show more

I wish I got this sooner! It is so cute and easy to assemble. The size is nice but I couldnt get the full 50 lb bag but it was close. My pig always knocked my previous container over so I love this was is stable with the 4 legs. Easy to clean inside and out.
