I bought my first one from TSC and it worked great until one of my chickens pulled at the metal nipple and sprung it. Lol. But you can physically inspect it in the store to make sure everything is good with it. But since "chick season" is over, TSC doesn't carry these right now. So when my spring sprung on the middle nipple, nobody had replacement nipples or the waterer! So I bought a brand new waterer on Amazon while getting a quick fix at Ace to plug the hole where I removed the leaky nipple, just to not waste all 12 gallons in my existing waterer until my new one came. Ugh! CHORE! It got here today, November 10, 2023, and yet...lo and behold! The middle, stupid, nipple was dripping like crazy! And the chickens hadn't even gotten to it yet! So now I had to figure that out!!! Beware buying from Amazon on tricky things like this! I can't even buy the nipples at TSC right now, at this time of year, because nobody bothers keeping chicken things in stock until Spring comes and chick season begins except feed and normal stuff! UPDATE: Since that day, all three of the nipples on the one I ordered are defective and I had to replace them. Today is November 17th. I don't expect any responses from the company. They don't seem to care what people have been saying about this same issue that others have experienced. I have yet to see a complaint answered by them. So, just to reiterate...Don't buy online. Find them in a store so, at lease, you can physically inspect it before spending your money on one. It is a good idea, but if the company isn't going to back up its product, they aren't worth patronizing.

Easy to fill and the hens (I only have hens) have no problem using this method. I have three of these to hydrate my hens. Goes well with the feeders. Holds a lot of water.

Great waters, but if left in direct sun it will grow mildew on the inside. I clean mine out once a week and keep it on the back side of the coop under the over hang out of the sun. Plastic is pretty durable, i have dropped them a few times with no damage. They do freeze in the winter, so i put them away and use heated bowls for the frosty weather.

Awesome water solution for chickens. I’m thrilled with the details. Super easy to get set up and use. I made sure to tighten each nipple and that the flange was tight on the container before leaving it. I also got extra nipples so now each tank that I have has 5 nipples each. No leaks and super easy. I like that the lids have an air gap in them so they release the water properly. - EASY - Good Quality - Easy to add nipples - Easy to replace nipples when they need to be replaced (nothing lasts forever) - Thoughtful design

This was a great purchase. It allows a lot of water to be available for when you might have to take extended trips. It keeps the water clean and chickens don't have any issues using it. It does not leak. We had a container with the cups that fill with gravity, but those always got clogged up with dusk as if you know if you own chickens, they kick up a ton of dirt everywhere. These water nipples are much cleaner that any of the ones that have cups. I wish I had bought this sooner. It is very sturdy and well made. When filled with water it is heavy and you don't have to worry about chickens knocking it over. The thickness of the plastic walls makes it feel durable and I have not seen any signs of aging and we have been using it for several months. It is not insulated so the water temperature doesn't stay super cool, but it also is not hot.
