This chicken waterer is so nice it's ready to clean and hold enough water that I only have to fill it every 8 days or so depending on the weather, i have 22 chickens. It's a heavy duty plastic. It holds i think 15 gallons i don't remember i was just excited to get it. When it freezes in my region it only freezes on the top of the water.

We went through multiple watering systems for our chickens trying to find one that didn’t leak. We got the buckets for around the property but this for inside the coop. Everything else leaked. I was almost afraid to buy it because of the price but honestly, I’d buy it again if I needed to. Easy to use, no set up process at all. Great quality!! 10/10 on functionality. Love the durable design. Just pick it up and move it when needed to clean the coop.

I bought my first one from TSC and it worked great until one of my chickens pulled at the metal nipple and sprung it. Lol. But you can physically inspect it in the store to make sure everything is good with it. But since "chick season" is over, TSC doesn't carry these right now. So when my spring sprung on the middle nipple, nobody had replacement nipples or the waterer! So I bought a brand new waterer on Amazon while getting a quick fix at Ace to plug the hole where I removed the leaky nipple, just to not waste all 12 gallons in my existing waterer until my new one came. Ugh! CHORE! It got here today, November 10, 2023, and yet...lo and behold! The middle, stupid, nipple was dripping like crazy! And the chickens hadn't even gotten to it yet! So now I had to figure that out!!! Beware buying from Amazon on tricky things like this! I can't even buy the nipples at TSC right now, at this time of year, because nobody bothers keeping chicken things in stock until Spring comes and chick season begins except feed and normal stuff! UPDATE: Since that day, all three of the nipples on the one I ordered are defective and I had to replace them. Today is November 17th. I don't expect any responses from the company. They don't seem to care what people have been saying about this same issue that others have experienced. I have yet to see a complaint answered by them. So, just to reiterate...Don't buy online. Find them in a store so, at lease, you can physically inspect it before spending your money on one. It is a good idea, but if the company isn't going to back up its product, they aren't worth patronizing.

Great waters, but if left in direct sun it will grow mildew on the inside. I clean mine out once a week and keep it on the back side of the coop under the over hang out of the sun. Plastic is pretty durable, i have dropped them a few times with no damage. They do freeze in the winter, so i put them away and use heated bowls for the frosty weather.

This was a great purchase. It allows a lot of water to be available for when you might have to take extended trips. It keeps the water clean and chickens don't have any issues using it. It does not leak. We had a container with the cups that fill with gravity, but those always got clogged up with dusk as if you know if you own chickens, they kick up a ton of dirt everywhere. These water nipples are much cleaner that any of the ones that have cups. I wish I had bought this sooner. It is very sturdy and well made. When filled with water it is heavy and you don't have to worry about chickens knocking it over. The thickness of the plastic walls makes it feel durable and I have not seen any signs of aging and we have been using it for several months. It is not insulated so the water temperature doesn't stay super cool, but it also is not hot.

My absolute favorite chicken waterer. I love the size of it and the fact it hold 12 gallons of water. So the water retention is amazing! Easy to assemble. It’s functionality is amazing not have to fill your waterer every day. It is compatible with a deicer. So no more dealing with on unthawing frozen chicken waterer. The weight empty isn’t heavy. Filled we’ll forget picking that up. I put down bricks to put it on. Added bonus chickens can’t dirty their water.

This waterer is the best I’ve seen. Anyone who has chickens and has seen our waterer is smitten. We’ve had it for two weeks so far and have not filled it. We also live in an extremely dry climate and have 9 chickens. Their water stays totally clean, not one bit of gunk in it. It is such a time saver. We were filling everyday and now it’s not a worry at all. They took to it immediately as well. I suppose if you didn’t have a hose near by to fill it would be extremely heavy to move it after filling. I was also a little skeptical because so many reviews said that theirs leaked. Luckily ours doesn’t, but I was ready for it to be leaky and then fix it and that wasn’t the case. I highly recommend this to anyone with chickens especially if you like to leave for a few days at a time, your chickens will be totally watered. We also bought the matching feeder and it is equally amazing. Holds a 50 lb bag of food so you don’t need an external way to store food bags, annnddd other birdies don’t go after it. Plus, it looks nice. We put a lot of effort into making our coop look nice and so we are extremely happy with how they looks.
