Expected the longest leg setting to be little higher but great and does what’s expected. My chicks now have plenty of feed. Their other feeder would easily run out and that’s probably because the way it was designed allowed them to kick out a bunch of feed. They haven’t been able to do that with this one so I’m saving money. Also haven’t knocked over their water once since I got it but their other waterer would get knocked over the second I put it in. Overall, I love it and glad I bought it. Easy to use and transport and easy to clean. Wish the waterer came with a pointed top like the feeder though, they still climb on it which leads to poop in the water ... show more

I was skeptical but after trying them, I now own 4 sets! I absolutely love these, they are the best feeder and waterer I’ve owned because they are thick bottomed even with the legs tucked all the way in meaning that the chick bedding doesn’t fill up the water writhing hours. Some people said the waterer leaked, but I have found that as long as when you are putting the water in, turn it until it clicks and it doesn’t leak. We have over 100 chicks right now and we are using these for all of them in several brooders. I may even order an extra one or two just in case! ... show more

Finally I got this set which works way better than the smaller set I got, or the egg carton style I got. I don't use the legs I wouldn't, we hang them, finally no more messy food or water, it's a breeze to use, so much easier. this is too tall for newly hatched chicks, even without extending the legs. After chicks are older it is great to keep waterer and feeder up out of the chip or whatever form of bedding that you use.

Great step up feeder for your teenage chicks! Love the 3 different height levels available with this product. Easy to set up and clean. Holds a decent amount of food and water. I have 15 chicks so I purchased two sets and it seems to work for them. Great value.

The feeder is excellent, having previously used one that only filled from the bottom, this became SO MUCH easier to feed the 8 chicks in our brooder. The conical top prevents birds from using it as a roost and the included scoop is quite sturdy and great for filling it up. The waterer design is sub-optimal. While it does feel like it locks in place, because it doesn't screw on, just kind of slides on, every time I tip it over to put it in the brooder it leaks out the sides. I would highly recommend instead buying a waterer that can screw into the base so that water can only come out of the intended hole. On both the feeder and the waterer, the collapsible legs seem to collapse too easily. A stiffer detente in the middle may help, or a way to lock them open. We had the water spill a few times due to the leg collapsing. Not a deal breaker, but definitely something to watch for. ... show more
