I got the carbon one. I would definitely buy this chicken feeder again, especially for the price. I paid around $23 plus tax, which was several dollars less than similar options I looked at. Most of the competitors didn’t include the extra accessories that this one does. Pros: * ✔️ Great value for the money. * ✔️ Handmade solid wood construction with a nice finished appearance. * ✔️ Comes with two additional plastic side containers that can be used for feed, treats, grit, oyster shell, or water. * ✔️ Includes all hardware and even a screwdriver. * ✔️ All of the screw holes were pre-drilled. * ✔️ The feeder feels lightweight enough to move around easily but sturdy and surprisingly solid once assembled. * ✔️ The entire bottom is made from fully enclosed metal mesh, allowing dust, crumbs, and debris to fall through. Unlike some other feeders that only have a few drainage holes, this design keeps the feed area cleaner. * ✔️ I really appreciated that the metal mesh is completely encapsulated inside the wood frame with no sharp edges exposed. * ✔️ It arrived in a well-padded box and everything was protected during shipping. Cons: * ⚠️ Because this appears to be more of a small business or mom-and-pop product, there were a few minor inconsistencies. One side of the top frame wasn’t exactly the same thickness as the other, causing one of the plastic side containers to slide back and forth a bit instead of fitting as securely as the opposite side. * ⚠️ The instructions could definitely be improved. Instead of clearly labeled Step 1, Step 2, and Step 3 directions, they use a triangular diagram that takes some figuring out. * ⚠️ Pay close attention when attaching the legs. The angled cuts and pre-drilled holes are not identical on every piece, so orientation matters. * ⚠️ All of the screws come mixed together in one bag. They’re two different lengths, so you’ll want to sort them before starting. Assembly: Although the included screwdriver was a thoughtful addition, I honestly don’t know how practical it would be to assemble this using only that tool. I used my drill with a screwdriver bit and finished assembly in about 20 minutes with no interruptions. One tip: since this is solid wood, take your time lining everything up correctly before tightening the screws. Don’t overtighten right away, and snug everything down gradually to avoid putting unnecessary stress on the wood. Overall: This feeder isn’t absolutely perfect, but the imperfections are minor considering the price point. Between the solid construction, enclosed metal mesh bottom, extra side containers, and lower cost compared to competitors, I feel like I got a lot for my money. Overall, I’d absolutely purchase it again. If you’re willing to slow down, pay attention to the instructions, and use a drill, you’ll end up with a sturdy and functional feeder that’s a great value for backyard chicken keepers.

I received my chicken picnic table treat feeder. Loved it and my chickens felt special! I hate putting treats on the ground. This is perfect! They had their peanuts and dried meal worms and lived the fresh water on the sides. Happy !

This did not hold up very well in the weather outside. It started to come apart after a couple months. It can be fixed but the wood already has decent wear on it. It might hold up better if you have a covered enclosure though. One thing to note it that the plastic bins of the side that have a sort of cover with a large cut out. My chicken managed to get this stuck around her neck. I noticed very quickly and it didn’t harm her but it might be better to throw those pieces away.
