The end caps don't screw in, but instead have a silicon lip so they seal snuggly, and you can have the clear and opaques cap on either end of the light (you decide more light up or down). One out of two of these came with cracked parts. It was not damaged from shipping, this was a manufacturing defect. Also, one of them came with two clear lenses instead of a frosted one and a clear one. I returned I returned one of the two that I had bought and Amazon sent me a good one. Once I had two good ones, they look nice on my house. I have smart light bulbs in them and they are able to connect to my router through the housing. Ive had them for about a month; I wanted to wait to make sure they wouldn't rust before leaving my review. Looks great. im not very handy but was a self explanatory install. There is a frosted and an unfrosted lens that are interchangeable and has socket for a single bulb. Light beams mostly in one direction but a lesser light shines the other way which was perfect for my application.

This light fixture, and the two others I ordered went up fairly quickly, and look really nice. I would buy them again if given the opportunity, However it looks like they would last a lifetime with the material they are made of.
