It was a little difficult at first for us to figure out how to get it on and working but once we figured it out we haven’t had any issues since! This is a great light. I use it for a bird coop. The seller specifically sends instructions multiple times so I got the impression that they may get complaints. But it's not having the instructions that is the problem, the instructions are written so so poorly that they are virtually useless. BUT THE LIGHT IS A GREAT LIGHT! Let me help the instructions- charge for at least 6 hours prior to use.Little blue light will always be on. When you want to use the light, push "on" button. If the light just flashes but stays off, push "auto" and the light will come on. Then use the timer function if you want. The light will always default to coming on only (and automatically)at night, it is overridden by the "auto" button. I would order this light again. Bought 3 of these to light up a 35'x14' chicken run; these are actually so bright I had to repurpose one because the chickens wouldn't go back into the coop at night. I was certain 3 would be a good start, I was counting on needing to buy more, but now I'm going to buy a bunch more for my patio, etc. Mode 3 keeps them on all night after the light sensor decides it's dark, I have them turned down to the lowest setting and they last all night, even after getting mediocre sun from an overcast, stormy Texan day. I wasn't able to figure out the mode programming sequence using the on/off button on the light itself, but the remote makes it idiot-proof. Very pleased with these, will be buying more for my overhead landscape lighting. ... show more

I absolutely love this light. We use it in our outhouse, the lighting is perfect. But it quit working within a month of setting it up. When turning it on the lights blink once then shut off, like it hasn’t enough charge. But the sun has been shining and the battery is fully charged. It just doesn’t work! ... show more

Purchases to go into the shed that I just built. The light works the way I would expect it. It is not as bright as I was hoping, but at least provides light in the shed. I that it is recharged by a small solar panel since my shed is nowhere near our house.
