    • BRIGHT! Easy set up (minimal DIY skill needed), well priced, seem sturdy, working perfectly.

These lights are BRIGHT!. I have a 3 car garage and just one set easily lights my whole driveway. They came with a partial charge allowing testing before installation. All hardware is included and instructions are pretty good though an install template for the base that the light clips on would have been an even better piece to have. Perhaps this can be included in future shipments. Installation was otherwise pretty straight forward though some basic DIY skill will be needed particularly if you are installing on brick or cement (cinder block) since a hammer drill would then be needed. I suggest that is using a hammer drill on cinder block start out with a 3/8 bit instead of the suggested 1/4" and then carefully enlarge as needed since with cinder block the drill can move causing the hole to get too large. Installing on wood or similar material should prove super easy, though. The motion detection is really good and the lights can be adjusted somewhat to alter the area covered by the light. The solar detector, however, is fixed in position so be sure to install this where it can receive good sunlight. Our house faces south so it works perfectly for us. I have to say that I am more than satisfied with these two lights The price point, especially considering that two lights are provided, is another plus. They look to be pretty durable, as well, compared to similar lights. I want to offer an installation suggestion when installing on cinder block in order to assure a level light base.: Drill the top hole first, place the anchor and then screw the base in loosely. Then, use your leveling tool to get the correct spot to drill in the two lower holes. I would get the base in place and use a small drill bit to start the hole through each of the base screw openings. You can then swing the base up and out of the way while it is still attached at the top hole to make the correct larger hole size in the two lower screw holes, put in the anchors, let the base fall back in place over the new holes and put in the screws. The instructions say to use a marking tool (pencil, etc) but holding the base level and in place while trying to correctly mark the holes was difficult for me. Getting the base held loosely in place via the top whole made the process much easier. Perhaps this will not prove difficult for others, though. Feel free to ask me any quesionts. I like that they are easy to install and you can adjust the different lights in many different ways. The lights are bright and the solar panel seems to work well. However my included remote control does not seem to work even after changing batteries, and I continue to struggle to get the light in the mode I want with the little switch on the back. It’s very hard to tell what position it is in and I’m not entirely sure the different modes are working as they should. So far I’ve been just manually turning one of them on and off as needed because I can’t get it in the mode where it only turns on briefly when the motion sensor is activated, whereas the other one will do it no problem. ... show more

WE HAVE ORDERED SO MANY OTHER LIGHTS, ONLY TO RETURN THEM BECAUSE THEY WEREN'T BRIGHT ENOUGH. WE LIVE WAY, WAY OUT IN THE COUNTRY WITH NO STREET LIGHTS. WIRING ELECTRIC LIGHTS ALL THE WAY DOWN A LONG DRIVEWAY TO A CATTLE GATE IS IMPOSSIBLE. WE BOUGHT THESE AND THEY ARE THE BOMB! TWO OF THEM PLACED AT A CATTLE GATE ENTRANCE. THEY ARE SUPER BRIGHT AND SOLVE OUR PROBLEM. WE CAN MOVE THEM IN DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS TO COVER THE DRIVEWAY, GATE, AND TO THE LEFT OF THE DRIVEWAY. THEY ARE PERFECT FOR WHAT WE NEED. TWO OF THESE IN THE CITY IN A SUBDIVISION AND YOU WOULD THINK IT'S DAYLIGHT OUTSIDE. ... show more

The solar battery comes already charged and where I installed it really only gets partial sun in winter when the leaves are off the trees, so.......even though it works perfectly now, I am not sure how it will do once the battery gets low and the sun is not strong enough in winter to keep it charged. I knew that could be a problem with where I installed it, but the light only comes on for 30 seconds each time I walk by the motion detector in the dark therefor I expect it will not use up the battery for weeks. If and when the battery runs down, I will just take the light fixture down (very easy to do) and lay it out so the solar panel is in full sunshine for a full day to recharge. In theory that should work. It took me seconds to install and adjust and it has worked perfectly all this week when I needed it. I was thrilled not to need a flashlight to get out to my car, or have to call an electrician to put in a 'real" light at great expense. At my age I need good lighting outdoors to protect me from falls, and what a huge difference this has made! ... show more

Put these up above my garage door and I really like these (so far). Have had them up a week now and the motion sensor works great. The lights are bright enough to illuminate the majority of the driveway, but could really be a little brighter. Great for a little extra security and peace of mind. Going to order another set for near the 2 doors around the back of the house. UPDATE: Price went up??? Not really worth it to me now...like I said, could be a little brighter. Plus the are BASIC solar lights: no remote, single sensor, on/off, but priced higher now then others with more features? Your call, have fun. ... show more
