I bought this spotlight unit to light my path when I take out the garbage at night. I mounted in high on the corner of my house where it gets good (though not great) sunshine, and it does exactly what I hoped. It has a middle light and two swivel spots, one on each side, that can be positioned to light up a broader area. It always lights my way quite brightly, even after cloudy days. It actually stays on dimly until it detects motion, and then turns bright until the motion stops for 30 seconds. I cannot say with any confidence how long it stays on during the night, since I rarely get up before daylight. But it does continue to work well into the evening (perhaps much longer on sunny days than cloudy ones). I think the always-on feature is nice for security purposes, and I don't think it is really bright enough (until it detects motion) to bother anyone. I'm very happy with this unit and impressed at how bright it is and how consistently the motion detection works. Also, given its position high on the house, it is nice to know that I won't have to climb up periodically to change the batteries, since it is solar operated. I suppose the rechargeable batteries will run down eventually and at that point I will just have to replace the entire unit. But it is inexpensive enough that I'll be happy if I get a couple of years use out of it.

I installed the spotlight over the weekend and waited to test it at night. I have an area on the side of my house that is dark and could use extra lighting. I did not want to have to do any hard wiring, and solar is just much more convenient living in southern California. The lights on both ends can be adjusted to any position. That was great as I needed one side to be adjusted more down, and the other side more straight. There is a low light that stays on while the motion detection is not activated. Motion detection works when you're about 8-12 ft or so away. The light is bright, but don't expect overbearing like some spotlights. It's good enough for what I needed. Also, it did not have a full 8 hour charge yet, so that could have dimmed the lights slightly. I will test again tomorrow after a full day charge. Overall, great solar spotlight for the price. Works, love the ability to move the lights in directions you need, and the motion detection works as expected. Great buy, will buy more in the future if I need them.

This is an edit of my review after the third purchase of two-packs of this item. My original review follows below and still applies to the first and third order. Unfortunately, the second order arrived with one of the two lights completely inoperative. I attempted to contact the company at the email address provided with the product but got no response even after a followup. So, I had to return both lights and re-order to get two good lights. So, great lights but bad customer service. Original review: I got two of these to illuminate my back yard. They were easy to install on the side of my deck and do a great job. The "dim" mode stays on all night, and the brighter mode is properly triggered and provides adequate light. It would be nice if there were options (like motion sensitivity and whether the dim mode is used), but no complaints for the price.

These Ollivage Outdoor Solar Lights have been working well. We received them in the mail promptly. They are small, lightweight, and easy to install. I purchased these to put on two poles in my front yard, one of which had a birdhouse and the other a weather station. I wanted the lights to scare away wild hogs, which are tearing up our front yard. The lights were hung about 10 ft. up and projects lights once activated by motion out to about 20 feet on the ground. The hogs seem to stay away for a while but have learned to adjust. I have come to enjoy the lights because they provide a look of security near our driveway and when walking in our front yard at night, I now have motion activated lights. It has been working for about 5 months now with no problems. I think for the price and ease of installation it is a good buy. I need a trap now.

Once installed, they work very well. The most recent purchase is my second set I've purchased. And I plan to purchase two more. The only reason why I didn't give five stars is that it's difficult to place the screws the right distance apart. and then too, when they are placed the right distance apart, getting them the right depth requires trial and error. Not an a difficult process, but a little frustrating. The product ought to come in two parts, the mounting bracket should be separate from the lamp itself. It would be easier to mount the bracket to the wall and then maybe slide mount the lamp to the bracket once it's attached to the wall. The product is all on piece. Since the you cannot see the screws holding the lamp to the wall, you can't access the screws with out removing the unit and hence the difficulty installing it in the first place.

Huge Step Back From the Older Model – Very Disappointed I bought these because I’ve had the older Ollivage model from 2020, and that one still works exactly as advertised. No constant dim mode, no nonsense — it stays off and then activates to full brightness when motion is detected. Simple and effective. Unfortunately, this newer version is a completely different story. I really wanted these Ollivage solar lights to work, but they’ve been a huge letdown. The biggest issue is the dim mode. As soon as dusk hits, the lights automatically turn on in that low “always-on” dim setting. Sounds fine in theory, but in reality it just drains the battery for hours before you actually need real light. By the time I walk my dog around 11pm, the battery is already so drained that the motion sensor either barely boosts the brightness or doesn’t activate properly at all. A light that can’t actually get bright when motion is detected defeats the whole purpose. Then, like clockwork, they’re completely dead by around 2am. Next day? Same cycle all over again. They spend all evening wasting power on dim mode and have nothing left when it matters. If you’re thinking of using these for a driveway or anywhere you actually need reliable brightness at night, don’t. Maybe they’d work in a low-traffic patio situation, but for security or practical lighting, they fall way short. Definitely not what I expected. 😡

It's nice. Very easy to install, but it doesn't put off much light. It's up on the eves of my house. If it was closer to the ground it might offer more light. It lights up a very small area. Even with the little movable lights they are to high for it to really light up the area. I like these solar light, I have other with a much larger lumens that light up the area nicely. I'll keep it, just will probably move it to someplace closer to the ground, like on the fence. UPDATE: The vendor contacted me and have been extremely helpful. They offered to refund my money. Since I'm actually using the light, in a different location. I have it on the fence, to light the walkway on the side of the house. It's perfect for that location. I didn't feel I should get the refund. So they graciously sent me a new light, that was replacing the old one. I haven't yet had the opportunity to install it, it's been raining all week. Looks to be the same installation, so it shouldn't be a problem installing it. The lights on each side are bigger. I'll update on the light when I'm able to install it. I'm raising the overall rating to 5 stars due to the excellent customer service.
