I bought a much more expensive heater for our small greenhouse but it was going to take two months to arrive so I purchased this one to fill in. It has been holding temperature just fine (60 degrees F with outdoor temps dropping to freezing at night). The expensive heater finally arrived and was supposed to be recommended for greenhouses, but it failed after just five days and now won't work at all. I put this one back out and it is working perfectly. I purchased a temperature controlled outlet so the temperature stays more stable than the little rotary dial on the heater can handle. Make sure to get an outlet that handles 15 amps or more so it doesn't overheat. ... show more

Received this on 03/21/23. Started using it right away. All seems to be working so far. The modes are OK. The thermostat, when not set to max, DOES cycle the fan on and off. Not a LOT of heat, but sufficient for watching TV with the unit about 4 feet away. I have it on a small rolling stool with a large pot type trivet under neath it to keep the stool cool (but really not that necessary, as it doesn't get hot underneath). Like I said .... so far so good. I'll give an update in a month or so to give a longer term usage assessment. ... show more

Heats up quickly. Heating element does not glow orange but don’t be fooled. Heats up semi enclosed area well. Really heats up enclosed area quickly.

This heater works much better than i expected. It outputs a ton of heat outdoors with very little noise. It seems that its power cord is well built too and does not get hot and create a fire risk. Very happy with the heater for my patio.

Great little heater for the money, throws out a lot of heat. It doesn’t run for a full hour because it kicks on and off, maybe on 15 minutes off 45. Short term use. I only use it when I am sitting in the living room chair. 1.5kw x1 hr x $0.16 kw-hr = $0.24.

The thermostat worked ok at first but after 6 months use the thermostat qoit shutting off. It just stays on heating and won't dhut off on it's own.
