We recently were told we needed to start locking our classroom doors all the time and so I needed a solution so kids and teachers can notify me they need to come in. There are lots of things I love about this. I like that it just runs on batteries because it doesn't need to be plugged in anywhere. I keep the doorbell chime on my desk and I love that it lights up because sometimes I want it to be silent, but still know someone is outside. The adhesion of the actual doorbell part seems good too because it's been stuck outside my door for three months now with no issues. It's also nice how many ring tones this has. I like a lot of them and it's fun to change them frequently.

The colors on the receiver of the "TECKNET Wireless Doorbell, Portable Doorbell with RGB Light" are fun and a great feature for those who are hearing impaired. It also grabs your attention if you have a variety of alarms, alerts and devices in your home. Easy to know which device is going off. The volume is plenty loud for me in my small home but it may to low for others. Although which chime/noise you choose makes a big difference. The black receiver and push button unit are nice looking and feel sturdy and tight. The installation of the the push button is easy with the included double sided tape. To install with screws the back plate needs to be taken off and the screw put in through the plastic case and into the wall (no pre-drilled holes which is probably to prevent moisture from getting in if the holes are not needed). The push button came with a battery but the receiver requires 3 AAA batteries so be sure to pick those up ahead of time. Appreciate that it is battery operated as I can move the button/receiver easily if needed. The unit is fairly self explanatory and doesn't take long to understand. One button with lines to adjust the volume and one two-sided button for mode/chime/pairing.

5 stars π easily I ordered this doorbell set for my mother and, it works great and lights up that's super cool touch but, she's never had a door bell until now and, she needed it it comes with 1 reciver which is fine she keeps it in her room it can be moved if you are on the move in your home just bring the receiver with you in the next room or you have the option of turning the volume for the receiver up loud an she can hear it just as good in any room in her house. It's made things more convenient for my mother now people ring her door bell and the grandkids love rining it too ha but Definitely works as it should it came with batteries that was a plus too I gave this to my mom as a gift π and she loves it Definitely makes a good gift or if you're in the market for a affordable nice door bell this is a really great one highly recommend this set π I actually wish I would of gotten myself one like this but, I may be ordering one for myself soon nothing negative to say about this product it works as should an as described

This doorbell delivers on basic door bell features. I was able to scroll through the different melodies and select different songs. Ultimately, I chose the melody that sounds like a cruise ship chime before the captain makes an announcement. However, doorbell did NOT deliver on one feature.... They claim this achieves 110 decibels. NOT so. 110 decibels is the equivalent of a chainsaw -- unpleasantly loud and sustained exposure can cause hearing impairment. I'd say this is about 70 decibels (the higher side of normal conversation) or maybe 75 decibels (a vacuum cleaner). The instructions are tiny. Very annoying when you actually need to read the instructions to understand the buttons. NOTE: The up and down arrows are *not* the volume control. Volume control is the bottom button and you have 4 different volumes to choose from (loudest being about 75 dbs, explained above). At the current price point ($14.99), I would have been happy to give five stars, but the decibel claim is not a fair claim to make to purchasers.
