I used this to replace an older wireless doorbell. Main reasons for replacing the older unit were that it was not really loud enough, and had only one chime unit. The new one I ordered came with two chime units. I plugged in one of the chime units high on a balconyl above some picture frames, and followed the instructions to enable the battery on the doorbell button. When I pressed the button, I immediately heard the traditional "ding-dong" sound from the chime at a perfect volume level. I may experiment with other sounds, but this is the one I am used to. Later I moved this receiver to a Bluetti EP500 in the kitchen which keeps my refrigerator running during power outages (in the picture, the chime is hidden behind an orange extension cord). I then plugged in the second chime in the basement, where it is hard to hear the first one. It also responded to the doorbell without needing any further adjustment. The only slight inconvenience was that button did not have pre-drilled holes for mounting, and I preferred to mount it with screws. But that was easily solved with an electric drill. Although that could be a drawback, I don't consider it serious enough to affect the overall rating since an adhesive mounting is also provided. To enable the doorbell to work during a power outage, I plugged one of the receivers into a Bluetti EP500 which also powers my refrigerator. Basically its a very good product from what i can see so far I did not use the screws but rather the adhesive tapes and it stuck to my storm door frame with no issues Also although the manual mentions not to put on metal - obviously i did and have no problems for the gadget to work The volume even on 1 is loud enough to hear; I am in the townhouse and got 2 receivers to place the 2nd one on top floor...but in retrospect IMHO just one would've been enough in my situation The reason I gave it 4 stars is the "54 different chimes" - WAAAAAAY TOO MANY and some of them are beyond stupid\silly. Does anyone really needs 10-12 recordings of various animals' sounds? (cat meowing, dogs barking, goat bleating???!) then some of the other sounds are somewhat "too long" and of course the digital\synthesized sound is not very appealing (at least to our ears) After sampling all the sounds (shaking our heads while at it) we settled on a standard (if you will) ding-dongs Another very small "eh" is that I thought the bell icon on the door unit button would light up so people can see it when its dark but that is not the case. At time of purchase (Nov 2021) - I bought '4' sets ( 2 of the 1 button / 2 recievers and 2 of the 1 button / 1 reciever ) setups. Didn't install em anything for a few months due to a home remodel. I have 4 seperate entries. The singles were used for the main front and rear - the dual setups were used at an addition and garage entries which are on a different level. I waited to do a review so time of endurance would be a main factor. The result : "excellent with no issues". All the setups work flawlessly. The ease of installs and setups were a breeze. The whole deal took maybe an hour ! The transmitters find the coresponding receivers asap ! To change n find a decent to the liking seperate tone for each was easily acomplished due to all the variations. The dual setups having one near its entry and another 'way far away' in another location was a super plus without issue of ever missing someone due to lack of hearing. The end result is a highly recommended product bar none period ! ... show more

The product itself came in a super sleek looking box. Before using the remote, you must remove the plastic tab underneath the battery of the remote itself. Using the key they provide in the tiny bag of tools, it may require a bit of force to get the entire back of the remote off. Either way, that was the hardest part about setting the whole thing up! It’s so easy to use, and there are 5 levels of volume (the lowest level being silent, while the loudest level being heard even by someone wearing headphones in another room). I am planning on using this within my classroom, and since this year I will be teaching at 2 campuses this will be perfect with 2 plug in receivers! ... show more
