I was looking for a game chair for my 8 year old. I would say it fits him well and we probably can get a solid year out of it before he outgrows it. We have it at the highest and it sits right under an adult desk. He says it's comfy. It swivels well on hardwood. The material looks well made. Overall it's sturdy. It was easy to puttogether and probably took me 30 mins. I would still buy it knowing I'd have to buy another in a year because to me it was worth it. It's a nice chair but really small, its more suitable for 6-8 in my opinion. My son is 10 and its way too small for him and he is slim built. For the price I should have known. I still give it a 10, the size was a problem.

Currently sitting in the chair in question while writing this review, triumphant over my former struggles of chairlessness. Now, I'm the kind of man who actually enjoys putting together flat-pack furniture. Probably due to a childhood struggle with low self-esteem and a burning need to succeed. This was by far the smoothest assembly I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Everything slipped right together with only the included hardware - absolutely no need for a sledgehammer or chainsaw! The chair parts and assembly hardware are very clearly-marked. That made assembly a breeze. No bloodied knuckles or profanity involved in the process. My wife and I didn't even have a nuclear-grade relationship fallout while putting it together! I especially liked that they included a little section of hardware marked as spare parts just in case. The casters and hydraulic assembly are made of a combination of durable metal and thick plastic - far from the flimsy disappointment I'm used to experiencing while building flat-pack furniture. Long story short, chair was fun to put together and surprisingly comfy and durable for the price. Definitely will keep this brand in mind for future purchases. ... show more

This chair is cute, the only problem is I ordered the red. It came in a box that says red but the chair was actually blue. Not sure how that happened. Make sure it's the right color when you get it. The max seat height is too low for my 6 year. I had to add a thick seat pad for him to reach the 30" high table to do home work. I took a star off as this seat is not made for normal height office/computer desk. The build quality is very well made, the cushions have great support and looks like they will last for young children.
