Works very well, we have a family of five and it seems to keep up with our needs with no problem. The only thing I don't like isn't you have to constantly move the ice or it blocks the full sensor and stop making ice, and when the water level gets low you have to turn it off.     • Good value for the money but has limitations
Cubes, even the large size are quite small. Makes ice quickly but takes a long time to fill the hopper and starts to melt as soon as it comes out. So, to get 20+ pounds per day would require standing next to the machine and emptying the hopper every time cubes are ejected -- which no one would really want to do. But, if you run it for 8 hours and just check the hopper every hour or so, and move the contents to a freezer, you can get a pretty good quantity of ice in that time span. Because the ice starts to melt right away, the transferred cubes will stick together in the freezer and be hard to get out by hand. I bought this machine to replace a failed built-in ice maker. The original freezer dispenser mechanism still works and the auger breaks up the frozen together cubes as it turns so that worked out fine for me. ... show more

Moved to new place, no ice maker in fridge, not ready to buy a new one. I like it so much that I set up a bar area and will use it there. Very easy and quick to create ice. Only issue I have is that the ice is kind of melty right from the start. But it’s good and I’d recommend as a good alternative to fridge ice maker. ... show more

At first it worked great. We love the small ice cubes. For a past few weeks though, it has started to act up. It will say the ice is full when there is no ice. I'll turn it off and on again, but it's hit or miss on that working. I've had it plugged into the same outlet since I bought it. I'm not sure what is wrong and the manual isn't very informative. I've switched the outlet, but I'd really like to have it plugged back in where it was before. Edit: Now it has completely stopped working. ... show more
