    • The Only Ice Maker That Locks up Due to Leaks
I've had this refrigerator for 4 years now and I have had the service technicians out here four times to try to fix the leaking ice maker. After four visits, I still have to remove the ice tray monthly and steam out the build up of ice or the ice maker will freeze solid within 2-3 months. It's a horrible stupid design by an incompetent engineer. I would never recommend a Samsung appliance again. I've gone through a half dozen refrigerators from at least 4 brands and this is the ONLY one that freezes up like this. Buy someone's refrigerator who knows how to make an ice maker. ... show more

    • Samsung 4 Door Flex Refrigerators - DO NOT BUY
These refrigerators have so many issues, but let me just warn you about the ice makers. 5 months after owning this style of refrigerator I had the icemaker issue where it would ice up and not work. After trying to fix this myself with various youtubers explaining how, I called and they had to replace the whole ice maker unit. Next came the dispenser part of the door, this thing would not stop opening and closing. 24x7 it make a loud noise of opening and closing and drove everyone nuts as I tried to get someone out to repair it. I had 2 different companies come out, requested by Samsung with no luck. In the end, it was a whole door that needed replacing and that would cost more than a new refrigerator. Stay away from Samsung on this model, and probably others too. They were not easy to deal with. ... show more

    • Garbage product many issue with this not only with ICE maker
1- Freezer drawer issue to open 100% always stuck in the middle of the path. call service twice first time they try to fix but the problem come again. Next time their tech person said that this is not a issue use extra force to open. WHAT!!!!! 2- Plastic drawer come come out always when move out a stuff and finally broken, 3. Freezer door got rusted. Many 4- WIFI connection issue and many more issues with them NOT TO RECOMMEND to buy this product or any product from SAMSUNG ... show more

    • WIFI is old school and does not work with dual band mesh access points.
What a letdown, this fridge is all about the tech and you pay a pretty penny for it. The wifi connectivity is 2.4 Ghz, NOT 5 ghz (dual band). Why does this matter? If you have a mesh wifi setup (the kind offered by every major wifi vendor) you have a wireless access point (multiple) that send out both 2.4 and 5ghz sharing the SAME wifi name. This is so any modern equipment can communicate with the access point and work out the best band to use and switch between bands as conditions change. When you have a single band 2.4ghz client, like this fridge, it cannot tell the difference and it more often than not fails to connect or disconnects. This protocol has been out and common for YEARS (Like Orbi, ASUS Aimesh, Googel Mesh, etc.) To put out such an "advanced" hitech unit out and be incompatible is just shameful. There is almost no cost difference in dual band hardware and no redesign of any other components would be needed to have made the change. Also, the 2.4ghz band if often overcrowded in a modern home and microwaves interfere with that band, you know, that box right near the fridge? Even if you can connect the UI and interface is not good at all, confusing, tries too hard to be cute, does not do the basics well. They released it with a many questionable features that are not the useful but look good in a demo when they should have introduced the basics that work and THEN added features with updates. Also, the Samsung answer to Echo and Google home is Bixby, ever hear of it? Exactly. It is worse than a first gen Echo. Why not include Echo or G-Home instead of Bixby? Oh, the fridge works great, temp is consistent, ice maker has NEVER clogged. ... show more

Needs frequent defrost or motor and fan freeze up. There is a you tube claiming s simple fix and a fb page with thousands of unhappy customers.

DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU EXPECT TO MIRROR GAMES, ETC TO THE TV....This only works with a FEW newer model Samsung Smart TV's , and most importantly NOT ALL NEW MODEL Smart TVs, actually only a very limited model families of new Samsung TVs. I WISH I NEVER WASTED THE MONEY ON IT. Buy a nice better refrigerator and a kitchen TV instead. Samsung support is no help!!!! Avoid all Samsung products, I will. It at least see's my LG TV on the smart view menu, but understandably won't connect with it, BUT it wont even see the Samsung not so Smart TV. ... show more

My Samsung is less than 2yrs old and under 5yr warranty and its been a month since my freezer hasnt worked. They have sent 3 technicians out wich all say there is an internal leak which they cant fix. They are giving me the run around with the cutomer service. Very unprofessional. More than 4hours on the phone talking to people in the Philippines Dominican Republic etc. Very disappointed. I will never buy anything Samsung ever again! ... show more

Once they cash your check, Samsung is done with you. We ordered a Samsung Kitchen suite, Fridge, Microwave, Oven, Induction cook top and hood as well as dishwasher. Two have already needed repairs and Samsung's idea of Customer Service is to transfer you repeatedly until you give up and go away. So, save yourself the headache and stress and buy anything else other than Samsung. ... show more
