    • Noisy icemaker broke early and often; warranty repair is a nightmare
I chose this model to replace my family's previous refrigerator on short notice. Similar to others' experience, this one was competitively priced and was available noticeably sooner than others. It is working well enough, but the loudness of the ice maker (28 seconds of buzzing heard throughout the entire house 14-15 times per day) is a startling change from its predecessor. Update: The icemaker broke in the second month of ownership. I have been struggling with the situation through today (two months later) to get the icemaker repaired under the warranty. The necessary parts are / were out of stock and the manufacturer and technical support company blame each other for cancelling earlier part orders. Second Update: The first repair completed on April 21, 2022. The icemaker broke again in late September 2022. The interaction between the manufacturer and the service company is non functional.     • It arrived yesterday and so far it works!
Everything seems to work OK but the ice maker makes a rather loud buzzing sound when it cycles.. EDIT: Bought this in March and the noisy icemaker quit working in November.. Repairmen sent by Winia tell me the icemaker is back-ordered.. Customer service seems helpful, but I still don't have a working icemaker after nearly 2 months.. 2023- The new ice maker has quit working and the repair people tell me the part is no longer available.. ... show more

    • The fridge and freezer worked but the ice maker never worked very good.
The ice used to melt then freeze all stuck together. Then the ice maker was slow and struggling to pump out ice, then it just quit working altogether. 4 service calls and 11 months later I still was without filtered ice. I'm getting a refund from Amazon and giving it back to whomever takes these mechanics specials. ... show more

The icemaker is very noisy at first, but it does quiet down after a few days. If you're not used to a refrigerator with LED lights, it takes a while to adjust since they are much dimmer than traditional. We needed one about this size to replace ours but couldn't find any at the local stores we wouldn't have to order and wait months to get so this was the only option we really had for a side by side model. The thing I learned is that just because the dimensions are similar, the cubic feet of actual space is not necessarily because this has significantly less room even though it's almost as deep as the last so that's something to keep in mind. The bins are not well proportioned. You pretty much have to remove what's located in the front just to get out something situated further back. Filters are not easy to find. You can buy from the manufacturer for $32.43 plus shipping ordering by phone only. You won't get any results if you search for the part number. We found a few generic options using the DW numbers printed on the filter. The icemaker control panel is touchy enough that it locks every time you wipe it off no matter how gently. The real issue we have with the icemaker is leaking and frosting in the freezer that only seems to get worse with time. I'd only consider this a good option as a last resort. Update: Just shy of one year after purchase the motor is loudly dying. According to the repairman, parts are difficult to obtain and the repair would cost approximately one-quarter of the purchase price at minimum. ... show more

Absolute worst. Ice maker broke within a couple of months due to ice freezing together… tooks months to get replaced only to break again due to same cause. Product Support awful, service awful. Winia sent replacement water valve two months ago, it is sitting in the box, no replacement ice maker to go with it. Warranty expires in a month, 11 months and no ice maker. Good thing i purchased extended warranty through Amazon, looks like Amazon will be on the hook to make this right since its supplier awful supporting its products. ... show more

I bought this refrigerator because it was the only one available without waiting 5 to 6 months. I had never heard of the brand. It looks nice, the refrigerator cools nicely. The icemaker never worked properly then in a just a few months it stopped working all together. That was in last February, this is now the middle of May. They still have not fixed it!
