It has a palm vein scanner that is fast and cool. My wife was happy when we got it, and it helped a lot at home—no more losing keys! The lock has a long battery life, locks automatically, and I can control it from my phone or with Alexa. It is also waterproof and bit heavy which speaks about its build quality. Design looks rich. If you want a smart lock, I recommend this one. You will like it!

I had a fingerprint reader lock but both my son and wife have very faint fingerprints so can't reliably get the lock to work. It also won't read my print when my hands are wet. In my wife's case, her fingerprint is so bad that even top end readers on Apple and Samsung devices can't read it. This lock solves the problem, and it works reliably even with my 8 y.o. son's little palm. So yes, the palm reader works, and works surprisingly well. The rest of the lock is pretty standard smart lock stuff, with the built in Wi-Fi a nice touch. I saw several reviewers complain about the app, but I already use the Tuyab smart app for smart switches in my home, so I liked not having to install yet another app. I find the pairing and set up process pretty straightforward and simple. Notifications to my phone work without problems, but I wished the notification would say which palm was used to open the lock. Overall, if you want a touchless smart lock, and don't need additional features like cameras, this work really well at a very good price.

Installation was very easy and straight forward. Good Lock but it exhibits WiFi issues like some other reviewers pointed out. I tried a replacement brand new lock in case I happened to have a defective one but the second lock exhibited the same issues as the first one. I tried on both Android and iPhone and the results were identical. I also tried both the Smart Life and the Tuya apps, same story. It's not a deal breaker, the lock works very well, the palm print option is great and it works every time I use it. Even though the app shows poor WiFi signal it does work remotely with very rare loss of WiFi altogether. I like the lock and I'm keeping it but it loses one star due to the issue described above. Update: 6/19/2025 The lock lost Palm recognition function and getting support from the manufacturer is all but impossible, so it basically worked ok for about 5 months. I tried deleting the saved palm prints and re-registering but it was impossible. Not sure I would buy it again,

Happy with my new high tech door lock and I'm even happier that I tackled the instalation by myself. It was fairly simple even for a newbie at this there was no need for any modifications. At fost the guidelines scared me a bit because it had some instructions to drill new holes but luckily everything was the same as my old one. I didn't even have to change the strike plate or faceplate. Took me about 30 minutes to swap from the old to the new one and then another 10 minutes to program the palm prints and cards. The app made it easy to do. I do carry the card with me but never use it since the palm print makes it so much easier. I added the prints of all my family and I like that in the history tab of the app I can see who and when entered. Another bonus is the rechargeable batteries which will probably last a while. After nearly a month of use, the battery is still at 100%. It works flawlessly with the palm print, but there is also the option for a code, card or key but I don't see myself using those often because, well, it's not as practical

This is a very cool lock that is functional and offers a lot of features. BUT, build quality is mediocre. The deadbolt seems flimsy and it is now slightly bent after less than a year of use. The lock gets stuck and doesn't open or lock properly all the time. I have to fiddle around with it a bit to get it to work properly. The app only worked for a month before it randomly stopped and I was never able to connect the lock to that app again. Install was easy enough and required no modifications to my current setup. But I would not recommend it to anyone because when I reached out to customer support for some answers, they ghosted me after one reply. It's disappointing because TCL is not just a small company with one product on the market. It's a well established brand and yet they can't stand behind their product. I'll be changing my lock to something else shorty. It's a solid DO NOT BUY from me.

The Lock is Awesome and is loaded with features. The Palm Vein recognition is great and we were surprised at its ability to recognize our Palms from a pretty fair distance from the Lock. One thing that was VERY DISAPPOINTING was the “SMART LIFE” App Integration. The Lock worked Flawlessly until I added it to my “SMART LIFE” App. The App worked fine when controlling the Lock Functions from my IPhone 14 Pro Max but when I physically went back to the Lock, after adding it to the App, for some strange reason, the Lock no longer worked. It was as if the “Smart Life” App caused the Lock to completely “Brick” (Nothing worked!). To prove my point I completely removed the Lock from the App and all of a sudden the Lock went back to functioning correctly. The “Smart Life” app coding caused the Lock to Malfunction, and yes, my Wi-Fi was working perfectly. PLEASE FIX THE ISSUE WITH “SMART LIFE” INTEGRATION and it will be a PERFECT “5 Stars.”
