The media could not be loaded. The projector works great. The image quality is crisp and bright in dark rooms, making it perfect for home theaters. Built-in speakers are decent, and the smart interface (VidAA) is smooth with all the major streaming apps.

I’ve been using the TCL C1 GTV Portable Projector for a few weeks now, and I’m really impressed! It’s compact and lightweight, making it super easy to move around — perfect for setting up a cozy movie night in the bedroom. The built-in Google TV system works smoothly and already includes YouTube and Netflix, so you can start watching right away without needing any extra device. I also tried connecting my gaming console via HDMI, and the response was fast with almost no noticeable lag. The picture quality is surprisingly sharp and bright, especially in a dim room — colors look vivid, and the details are clear enough to enjoy movies or games comfortably.

It’s very easy to set up, most of the set up steps are on your phone and through Google home. Once set up you have a great fully functional smart tv, it also refocus and calibrate when you adjust position or angle. Very convenient. Great quality and value. I’m already using it daily in house and can easily imagine projecting a movie outdoor in a summer night with friends

After using it without blocking direct sunlight, I was completely impressed. Even in broad daylight, the image quality was clear through a window. I like the design of this portable projector from TCL. It is similar in size to a large box of facial tissues. The gimbal is a great feature, serving as a handle, a stand, or a mount, and allowing it to be pointed in almost any direction. It is incredibly user friendly. I love that it has Google built in. (Google TV by itself is a $100 value.) This makes it simple to use as a stand-alone device when connected to wifi. It also has all the necessary ports (HDMI, USB, audio) and bluetooth if you want to attach or link an external input or speaker. Other ease-of-use features include auto-focus and keystone correction. They both work well, but you can also tweak them manually if needed. This is a 1080P projector, which is full HD, the resolution of Blu-rays. It can handle 4K sources, but it won’t be as sharp as a 4K TV. You would have to pay a lot more for a true 4K projector. There are less expensive 1080P projectors, but you would have to settle for something generic that wouldn’t have the same build quality. That said, another big consideration in choosing a projector is brightness. This model, C1, is certified at 230 Lumens. I was able to watch a movie in my bedroom during the day with the curtains drawn and the lights off. Not bad. (Black-out curtains would have helped.) TCL also has an A series of projectors. The A1 is only around $50 more. It is brighter, rated at 360 lumens, and has dual speakers (the C1 only has 1). The A1 also includes a carrying case. I was surprised that the C1 doesn’t even have a lens cap. I still really like the C1 projector, but I would strongly consider upgrading to the A1 if it’s in your budget and you don’t need the gimbal.

This projector is super solid! My old XGIMI always took forever to focus and needed a bunch of adjustments to get it clear. The 1080p quality on this one looks way better than I expected, and I love bringing it along for camping trips. I also really like the stand design—it makes it easy to project onto the ceiling, which is awesome for watching movies while lying in bed.
