Got this primarily to have backyard movie nights with the family, and for holidays and major sporting events like Super Bowl, so I can watch games outdoors while I’m barbecuing. I am happy with this purchase, which I got for a pretty good deal during Prime Day. Watched Jurassic World and the picture quality was very good, images and video were crisp and clear. I appreciated the auto focus feature whenever it detected movement. Setup was very easy and straightforward- the only part that took awhile was the Google TV OS had to download and install system updates out of the box, but once installed the software ran smooth with no issues. It is also able to download all the apps I needed for family movie nights, including YouTube TV for live sports. I do wish, however, that the Google interface didn’t bury manual focus and keystone so deep in the settings, but once you get the hang of it it’s okay., just wish they will change that in a future update. The audio is very good, speakers are clear and fairly loud - I could hear dialogue even over the sound of the fan powering my inflatable projector screen outdoors. I still plan to get an external speaker to get more bass, though. It has Bluetooth and 3.5mm aux output for audio, and also has 1 HDMI in case you prefer to skip Google TV and use a Fire Stick, or even a gaming console. While there are other brands on Amazon I’ve never heard of selling projectors, I was satisfied with TCL for the Roku TV and thought I’d give it shot. Overall I’d recommend this projector if it’s in your budget.

The media could not be loaded. Excellent picture quality in ambient light also. Value for money. Sound quality is beyond expectation. Love it! Tried a couple projectors based on high lumen but this TCl is comparable.

I purchased the TCL A1 1080p FHD Smart Projector a little over a week ago and although this is my very first projector, I am quite happy. Once I ordered, the projector arrived fast, only 2 days! It comes with a case and quick set up instructions. I do not have a Google TV but I was able to easily download the Google Home app and connect to my regular Google account. Then it took some time to update and calibrate the auto focus and leveling. Once it was done the apps were easy to navigate as they were already installed. The picture quality was so clear and the colors were very vibrant and vivid. It comes with a remote and you can be quite far from the projector to use. I planned to use this projector outdoors and had it set up to project on my wall. I like how it can display up to 120” picture. The projector has a USB and HDMI port, as well as a 3.5mm jack input, so you can connect your computer to mirror or connect a gaming console. The TCL A1 1080p is Bluetooth compatible so connecting to my sound bar was also easy. Overall, I would highly recommend this projector as it is easy to use, light weight, easy to transport, displays movies clearly, and best of all very affordable.

Overpriced crappy projector had multiple issues couldn't go backwards you'd hit the home button and it would just go back to the screensaver sent it back after messing with it for a couple of hours worst one I've tested out of 50 projectors.
