I would give this a 4.5 over all as a projector. It's a great projector for the price. It's very quiet, pretty good brightness, has good connectivity. Worked great with the steam deck, no lag with input. Only thing I noticed is that the default color options for the projector in picture didn't seem to do much of anything. I am not using a projector screen so that maybe why. Bluetooth connection with 4.1 sound bar system from LG works great, no more wires. The media could not be loaded. This is a really cool projector, great picture quality and a lot of features that you wouldn’t normally see at this price point like auto keystone. I’m happy with this purchase and most will be if you understand that this can really only be enjoyed in dark environments. Any ambiance will greatly impact the quality and colors you see. The handle is very convenient, but also limited the flexibility of the projector. If you want to project on the ceiling for example, you will have to find a way to do this with something to lean the projector against. excellent projector -- took advantage of a good price before the holidays. like any projector it works best in darker rooms. That being said, the lumens it produces is perfect for a white wall. the quality is kind of shocking to be honest. I use it to show multiple games during big sports weekends. Its color quality is pretty amazing for a budget projector. Keep in mind, projectors can go for 1000s of dollars, given its price point, i recommend. Having google tv built in is key also, also wireless connectivity, and access to all the normal streaming apps. Streamed with no issues. The case is very cool, the handle, only negative, is it's not a battery powered projector, but at the power it outputs that is relatively expected. Got this primarily to have backyard movie nights with the family, and for holidays and major sporting events like Super Bowl, so I can watch games outdoors while I’m barbecuing. I am happy with this purchase, which I got for a pretty good deal during Prime Day. Watched Jurassic World and the picture quality was very good, images and video were crisp and clear. I appreciated the auto focus feature whenever it detected movement. Setup was very easy and straightforward- the only part that took awhile was the Google TV OS had to download and install system updates out of the box, but once installed the software ran smooth with no issues. It is also able to download all the apps I needed for family movie nights, including YouTube TV for live sports. I do wish, however, that the Google interface didn’t bury manual focus and keystone so deep in the settings, but once you get the hang of it it’s okay., just wish they will change that in a future update. The audio is very good, speakers are clear and fairly loud - I could hear dialogue even over the sound of the fan powering my inflatable projector screen outdoors. I still plan to get an external speaker to get more bass, though. It has Bluetooth and 3.5mm aux output for audio, and also has 1 HDMI in case you prefer to skip Google TV and use a Fire Stick, or even a gaming console. While there are other brands on Amazon I’ve never heard of selling projectors, I was satisfied with TCL for the Roku TV and thought I’d give it shot. Try to get it under 250$ as I did and it’s a hell of a deal at that price point especially since you have the backing of a quality company like tcl. I’ve been really impressed with the easy setup and honestly it feels premium in terms of design. Google tv is awesome to have. It’s really portable and has a cool little case, nothing fancy but it’s been great for storing and trips. The brightness is decent especially when using an actual projector. I’ve been using a yellow outdoor wall and even still looks really good. The sound is perfect for outdoors and has solid thump at least for movies that’s for sure. Honestly it’s just quality all around and I trust tcl products enough so I don’t feel like it will easily break or anything like that.
