I love the look of this mini trench, but it is just way too big for a petite person. The lapels are too wide, the back is too wide, and the sleeves are way more than long because I am short. You can see the sleeves are shoved up even on the models, but it did not occur to me what that meant for fit on me. I want to love this because it is nicely made and the perfect item for a barely cool day here in Florida, but I have to send it back. Keep these things in mind if you are petite. This might be just fine for the rest of you.

While I love the material and belted aspects of this trench, it is way to wide through the shoulders for a petite person. I am 5’3” 125 and the shoulders don’t come even close the fitting in a size small. Plus the straps on the shoulders stick up and even make it look more bulky.The shoulder straps are odd.

I love the idea of a trench coat but didn’t want the hassle of a full length coat in Texas. This is a perfect compromise. Now if it would just get cool enough in Texas to actually wear it.

I really wanted to like this jacket but I knew it was not going to work from the moment I opened the package. Seemed well-made enough but so much extraneous detail meant additional fabric and bulk that it just was "too much", plus the arms were huge. I am very short waisted yet this seemed short for even me. I couldn't send it back quickly enough. I cannot imagine who would look good in this jacket.
