I decided to test this out simply for the fun of it, rather than any actual need, and then the next thing I know, I am spending hours roaming my backyard and woods nearby just to see what I might have found. I was pleasantly surprised with the range. I was able to spot defined shapes well beyond the property line. It also always seemed to point out wildlife, even in complete darkness. It felt extremely accurate and reliable as a tool, and I found the compact shape very convenient.

Setup instructions are very minimal. Once you figure it out, the device itself is easy to use, but the app required is not the one you’d expect, which adds unnecessary confusion. The effective range is also far less than I anticipated. While you can see heat signatures at a distance, identifying what you’re actually looking at requires being much closer. For example, at around 10 feet you can clearly tell what an object is, but at roughly 40 feet I could only see heat signatures without being able to identify them. I could tell my kittens were present, but not distinguish what I was seeing.

Plugged this into my Android phone for some evening scouting on the property, range picks up deer and hogs, digital zoom does a decent job without too much blur. Mount's a nice plus but haven't done that yet. Been out a couple weeks in the humidity, no fogging issues. Biggest gripe is the clunky app, especially at this price.

I have tried out quite a few different items from this brand and I have never been disappointed by the overall performance and image quality, so this one is no exception. I have had some issues with my z-fold 6 when unfolded, but other than that it is great. I thought it was a really cool idea to include a picatinny mount system, but unfortunately the execution just wasn't quite there based on my limited attempts to get it mounted on a rifle. The only issue I'm really having is figuring out how to secure it in place within the bracket itself, but I also haven't read the directions so I'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt and still give it five stars. All of that said, I'm just going to recommend that you check out my video and decide for yourself.

You know, I picked up this thermal gadget hoping it would be useful, and it actually surpassed what I thought it could do. Connecting it to my phone was a breeze, and the connection is really stable—much smoother than I expected from something like this. The clarity is fantastic, whether I'm using it during the day or completely in the dark. I took it out looking for wildlife, and it spotted creatures exactly where the stated range said it would. It's accurate. It just clips right onto my phone without any fuss, and getting the app set up took no time at all. Adjusting the focus is smooth, and because it’s so light, keeping it steady is easy. I spent a few evenings testing it in the backyard, and it picked up clear shapes from far away. It’s seriously neat technology. Even if you aren't hunting, it's fun to bring along on a hike or while birdwatching. Considering the cost, the performance feels like a really solid piece of equipment, especially if you enjoy exploring after dark or need it for field use. The battery ran for a couple of hours straight without any hitches or slowdowns, too.
