The headunit fit perfectly, now i don't know if there were instructions but i did not need them because everything was plug and play. Your first question will be well does my speakers work with HK system, Yes! Will your factory USB center console work, Yes! The rear view camera works also. It really is plug and play. The steering wheels are up to you to set up, on the radio under Car control/ wheel control, all you do is click a steering wheel button then tell the radio what that button is ie. Volume up or volume down. Even lets you custom a long button hold option. Tips: The star link system must remain with the car. You don't need the microphone provided, if u don't want to The Canbus CamVIN yellow RCA plugs into the headunit CamVIN RCA, this ompletes the loop to see your camera. There is an adapter provided and used to connect the single white usb ( on headunit) to the stock 4 pin connector, kind tough to ,connect but it will. overall i would buy again and i love the fit of this, youtube is helpful also if needed, 2018 subaru wrx limitied with Harman Kardon

Ok people, - so many hours to figure this out so I wanted to put this here for those trying to install this in a 2018 Subaru Forester. To retain the original oem backup camera you'll need the Scosche CRTSUO1 - nevermind that it's not compatible according to Amazon. If you have a five pin camera harness that's stand alone and not part of the large (28 pin?) wiring harness you need the scosche. It provides the six volts the camera needs, I think most units output 12 volts but the scosche gets the job done, fits the 5 pin harness and you'll need to splice the power into a 12 volt power line somewhere on the harness and ground the other wire somewhere in the chassis. Can also use the "volt 39" product - but the scosche is easiest to install. I've read that whether or not you have the separate camera 5 pin harness connector is irrespective of the model or year of your subaru. On the picture it's harness plug that connects on lower right of the stock radio. This worked out better than using all the data link crappola to retain steering wheel controls. That is once I figured out why the backup camera didn't initially work. Received this and installed it on 06/18/2024 in a 2017 Subaru Forester. The installation went pretty smoothly, and it worked great for a little while--a whopping 78 days. At that point, it 100% quit working, with a black screen, no power to the various USB ports, no lights on the buttons, etc. The vehicle's fuses are both still good, and Sygav mentioned there's a fuse on the back of the head unit that should be checked, too. When this happens to you, I hope you have the electronic A/C controls, otherwise, you will need to decouple your climate control cables again like I will need to do in order to completely pull the head unit back out of the dash to access the fuse. Sygav should provide a fuse extension so this fuse can be routed with the USB cables to the glove box or other accessible location. If you decide to buy this head unit, you should definitely buy one so you don't have to pull the whole head unit just to check the fuse. They're available here at Amazon for about 10 bucks. You'll need a blade type Standard (not micro, mini, or maxi) ATO fuse extension with blades on one end and a fuse holder on the other end. It's a real shame that what was supposed to be a nice upgrade to the audio system for my daughter when she went off to college is now a hassle and completely useless to her. Sygav's website provides no warranty information and uses WhatsApp for technical support; however, they do reply to e-mail. Considering they are located in Hong Kong or China, you will be waiting a day or so between troubleshooting steps. So save yourself the hassle and either buy the fuse extender or consider a completely different head unit instead of Sygav. Actually, get a fuse extender no matter what you buy if there is a fuse on the back of the head unit. What a pain.
