Out of the box use for helping us geriatrics up some stairs from our garage. Extremely solid and well constructed for large or small hands. The spacing is for all. I am surprised at the lateral pressure that I have applied with no issues. Long stainless bolts at each end with a decorative blue cap, finish them off very nicely. Strong plastic handles, very sturdy and strong. Has caps to cover the screw holes which is nice. My other handles didn't have that.

These handles are adequate. I put them at the top of a climbing wall on my kids' treehouse to help them transition from the wall to the platform they climb onto. They do their job. They're a lot smaller than I expected, they're relatively thin, and they're light plastic. I can hang on them (though the little ridges on them are definitely for tiny fingers) so I'm not worried about my kids breaking them or anything (at least not unless a lot of sun and weather weakens them over time), but unlike the climbing wall holds, these handles don't feel like anything you'd encounter at a public playground. I'm not sorry I purchased them, they just didn't turn out to be a major improvement to the treehouse I built. ... show more
