  • Minor hiccups in build but manageable and love it overall.
Good quality! Instructions were simple enough to follow, though i wish pictures were a little bigger. Some of the design seemed like they wanted us to drill screws a little too far on the edge of the wood causing a few cracks in the wood. There was one piece that the hole for the bolt was in the wrong spot. But it also didn't have the wood slats that makes the walls fit perfectly together. Because of the gaps that I don't think we're meant to be, I was able to finagle and make work. The plastic windows on the bottom didn't have screw holes and was fun trying to line up the two pieces. When you get to the top windows, screw in the windows to the lined up holes first; then line it up on the sides-much easier as some of the wood didn't have holes to line up centered. The prebuilt door frame was a little off but my husband was stubborn and wanted the door to close all the way and stick to the magnet. So he messed with it for like an hour with different adjustments until he got it to work. For many parts, we allowed our 12 year old girl to help with supervision. She did really well matching number parts to the instructions and even using our tools to put together. We are happy we didn't have to call customer service for anything. You'll want your own tools. No parts came broken so I'd say it came in good condition minus a couple chips. Our kids age 2-13 like playing on the fort parts. All our girls ages 6 to 16 like hanging out on the swings. Our almost 2 year old boy can climb the ladder. The height for him makes me nervous. Can't just let him play without being nearby. The slide is fast! Our nearly 2 year old landed flat on his back when he snuck by me the first time, so I was glad we had padding. He didn't cry and went right back up the ladder. Going on his tummy is a little better, but he still lands a little awkward so we keep allowing siblings to hold him or slow his turn on the slide. The design with the ladder close to the swings made our kids prompted to keep going under the swings to get to the ladder. I had to constantly remind the littles to go around the side of the kitchen to get to the ladder so they don't get kicked by accident from swinging kids. Our 4 year old boy hit the back of his head on the slide when getting to the bottom the first time down. Even the 6yr old girl and 8 yr old girl landed so fast they fell forward on their hands. Lol. They got the hang of it but padding definitely recommended. The height inside the sink/kitchen area is tall enough an average height Mom can stand in. So my girls up to 13 years old like playing with each other in it. Overall, we love it! Now if someone could just turn the heat down outside 😜 Otherwise, they play for hours out there. ... show more

  • Amazing Playset - kids love it Amazing Playset - kids love it
If you are looking at this product, you have kids. You would do anything for your kids. You are crazy like me and decide to build them an epic playset that will take you 3 full days to assemble. I am going to cut directly to the chase right now. This playset is 4 stars and worth every penny, with a few downsides. Here are the downsides: Extremely difficult to build. It will take you 3 full days to get it done. So much assembly required. You are constantly changing drill bits, assembling screws, and fumbling through directions. I know that sounds bad, and it is. The app directions seem to be slightly better than the paper directions. Next, you really need to have a lot of patience when putting this together and try your best to not screw up. There were some steps that I thought I had perfectly, and then things weren't lining up right. So some disassembly was required to figure some issues out. I cannot stress this enough. If you are not into building an epic playset, do not order. You really need to have time (3 days) to get this done. Last thing that comes to mind is the quality of the slide. Not good. Seems pretty flimsy and cheap compared to the rest of the set. The positives: Everything else! It looks beautiful in our backyard. The lumber was super high quality and I didn't notice any real issues with any of the wood pieces like some of the other reviews have stated. My kids love it and the neighbors are already over hanging out more which is really cool. My wife and I had no issue spending the money on this because we are spending so much more time at home due to covid. I would absolutely recommend this playset to the dads and moms who want their kids to have a fun, safe time in the backyard. Everything about this playset is awesome and even though it was crazy to build, we are happy we got it done. The pictures speak for themselves. ... show more

  • Very Challenging but Worth it!!!! Very Challenging but Worth it!!!!
It took me a while to make a final decision to make this purchase as our oldest is already turning 8. And after the assembly, zero regrets! This thing is a good size, good height (For reference my husband is 6 foot tall and my daughter is 5 years, 8 months old since you’ll see their height in the video). The whiny reviews were also off putting. Lol. I documented my husband’s playset assembly journey here. It was a huge endeavor for sure but he single handedly put it together. I would say 99% he didn’t ask for another human for help. It was only at the very end which I’ll get to that. He said, with zero interruptions, the playset takes 2 days to put together. That’s essentially what happened, it was his entire weekend. This actually arrived on a Tuesday and he immediately unboxed it. Sorted all the pieces. We have a 4 car garage and our vehicles were all parked outside so he could lay out all the pieces and sort it out. So 2 days for the actual assembly and a few hours to sort the millions of pieces of wood. Lol As a spectator, I can understand all the whining in the reviews. I get it. I can totally picture the type of people that just don’t have the brains cut for this project. I’m one of those! If I was a single mother, I’ll be on the Nextdoor app looking for a handyman in the area. 🤣 That’s for sure! And I know some men that are not just cut for this either (they usually have soft hands sssh). My husband is an auto industry white collar engineer for one of the big 3. So he has the engineering intelligence that’s why I had zero worries about the assembly part. The playset already experienced heavy rain. My husband checked on it in the morning and he said the clubhouse inside was pretty dry. So the roof does work like a real roof. He actually entertained the idea that he might add shingles lol but looks like that’s unnecessary. The trickiest part putting this together was the slide. This was the only step where he literally called me to hold something down. It’s a long sheet and you have to bend it to insert in the wavy seams. I had to hold it down firmly while he was hammering it down after one side was inserted in the seams. That was it. That was the final add on and we celebrated right after. Literally!! šŸ¾ Kids are so happy! Mission accomplished! Looking forward for the summer and the many core memories this will create. And I really hope it holds up well in our extreme weathers here in Michigan. P.S. if you have a very strong opinion against China products, you probably shouldn’t get this. There’s a steel plate screwed on the clubhouse with all the warnings and disclaimers. And the China origin with province and everything in bold is clearly written on there. It’s not subtle in my opinion. @miraneeholcomb is my IG if you have any questions. I’ll be happy to help! Goodluck! ... show more

  • Poor quality.
I paid a lot of money for this swing set and assembling it.The wood was cracking and screws were stripping , and it was not the quality that it should have been for what I paid for it

  • Was a fun project. No regrets whatsoever. Was a fun project. No regrets whatsoever.
After reading the torrents of people whining about assembly time, I decided that I wanted to take on the challenge solo and prove that it's not as bad as everyone thought. I don't consider myself particularly competent at any type of woodworking but I dabble in average handyman type projects all the time. Frieght delivery driver was amazing and knew his stuff, which is good because the pallet weighs close to 600 lbs. So I took my time to lay everything out and account for the massive packing list the 2 boxes that were delivered contained. There were 2 blemished boards but not worth the trouble to return/ask for parts so just repaired the 2 boards and continued on. As far as the assembly, yes it takes a long time. But there are somewhere around 1000 pieces that have to be put together. And when the instruction manual is 96 steps(most of which are installing one or two boards) it takes time. Even if every step took 10 minutes to complete, that's 16 hours. And most steps take a minute or two given you have organized all the hardware and parts according to number and letter. It took me right around 8 or 9 hours over the course of a few evenings after work to complete entirely by myself. Just finished installing it today and I can honestly say this thing seems cheapy from the pictures but it held my 190lbs up just fine in the fort. And with the anchors installed correctly this things going nowhere. So TDLR: If you want to save at minimum $1000 dollars for a well built playset and have the ability to follow simple instructions consistent with Lego build sets, I highly recommend this set. ... show more

  • Design, appearance
My husband finally got this put together. Looks nice and as pictured, but a lot of the boards were not cut evenly to fit in their designated locations (quality of wood is not great). We had to modify the inside of the house because the wood boards weren't even. Also, for how large of a play house this is, the swing set needs to be a few feet wider. All 3 swings are crammed into the space and as our kids get older, any flailing arms will be hitting each other. The slide is tall and pretty cool, but if you have a small child slide down, they are likely to fly off of the slide halfway down. There are waves in the slide which makes a slider catch some air. We will have to change the slide some too so that kids won't fly out of it. Overall, it looks great. But, up close, there are some design flaws and I question the sturdiness. I think we will own this for a season or two and then will need to build something else. There are many pages of instructions (which my husband liked), but for the many hours of building this and the money, I wish he would've just built one himself. ... show more
