First off, don't mind the messy bed, just getting it set up in the picture. I have had lower back problems for 20+ yrs, and recently started having neck issues as well. Before the neck pain, I was a side sleeper, I laid on the side that would open the spacing on my disks, and it would relieve my pain. But, every morning when I got up, I felt like a truck hit me. When my neck started giving trouble, I could no longer sleep on my side, because my arm would go to sleep. And I couldn't sleep flat on my back, because I would wake up thinking I was paralyzed. So, I started sleeping in a recliner. Believe it or not, I could wake up feeling pretty good. I've slept in a recliner for about 3 yrs, and that got me thinking about an adjustable bed. I bought this one because it had great reviews, and it's a reputable brand. I've only slept in it 2 nights, but it's amazing! When I first get it adjusted like I like it, my pain almost disappears. And I have slept through the night without waking. Getting up, I'm not hunched over moaning. This is the best thing Ive done for my sleeping. I'm using a queen Allswell hybrid mattress from Sam's club, and so far, I like it. May try to get a Sven &son one day. But it you have neck spurs, or lower back degenerative disk / bulging disk, I can vouch for getting an adjustable bed frame, and I really like the quality of this one. Set up was pretty fast, and it fits between the rails of my queen rice bed. I used a cordless drill with the clutch set, and an Allen bit to put it together. The Allen that comes with the bed is pretty soft and will round out. I may update my review after about a month. The frame is well built, but as with any adjustable frame, don't let kids jump on them, and I believe it will last. ... show more

I recently purchased a Sven & Son's Essentials Queen size bed. I was initially very impressed with the price and fast delivery. When we started to assemble the base the instructions were almost non existent and the instructions that were provided were confusing. After finally getting the bed assembled it seemed to work pretty well except for the fact that the mattress would slide and sometimes go up above the slide bar at the foot of the bed. I was having to push the mattress back into place nearly every morning. Unfortunately, about a month after the purchase I dropped the remote in water and attempted everything to dry it out but it would not work. I went to the Sven & Son's website and found remotes on sale for $39.95 down from $70. I searched every remote available and none were like the one I had. I had to send an email to the contact us address and received a reply that included a phone number. When I called I was directed back to the website and then to a SleepGeekz website to purchase a new remote. I explained to them that none of the models shown was like mine. I was told it had to be because those were the only remotes they made. I took a picture of my remote and sent it to them. The girl told me she would have to speak to her supervisor and then I was told I would have to speak to the warranty company but it would be Monday before anything could be done. On Monday the warranty company did contact me but the person was somewhat curt and impolite. I was told I could purchase a new remote for $55 + $13 shipping. She said she would send me an invoice and once it was paid they would ship it out. I asked if I could just give her the card number and get it taken care of. I was told NO they don't do business that way. I received the invoice the following day. I immediately paid it. I was very irritated that the shipping was the US Mail. I kept feeling velcro on the underneath side of the base and thought perhaps we had assembled it wrong because of the poor instructions. I thought that perhaps the velcro was supposed to prevent the mattress from sliding. We tried turning the panels over but they would not fit. We finally called and was told that the velco was for the optional cover. The cover could be purchased for an additional $60 and served no purpose other than looks. I read the reviews for this product and decided it was worth a try. The product arrived on time but the item was left on my driveway. I was expecting some contact with shipper about getting it into the house. It IS heavy. It took 3 women to get it inside. The mattress is the heaviest! Set up of frame/base was not difficult at all. I would have liked MORE detail in product guide…. ie what side of the base boards should be up? The QR scan did not work for me. I did check videos at Sven and Son online. I got answers I needed there. I did this myself…all of it. Yes it is heavy and it would be better to have help. I am in my 60s. I took my time. I manufactures say their frame/ base will fit i side existing bed frames and that is true for mine. I secured the Sven frame to my bedframe with zip ties so it would stay in place. There is plenty of space between my frame and Sven frame. No interference with motors. I did zip tie cords to frame to keep them out of my nosy cats view. It works beautifully! ... show more
