I LOVE this bed. We have been using it almost 2 weeks and I have no complaints. It works well, and it was delivered so much faster than I though it would be. I placed the order late at night on a Friday, the next day I got a call from the sellers. The woman I spoke with was very polite and explained the process of delivery. They said they would call me the day before the bed was delivered and give me an hours notice the next day for delivery. On Wednesday I got a call from the delivery company asking if the next day was good. The next day (delivery day), I got a warning an hour before delivery and the truck driver got the crate with the bed right next to my porch. I was amazed. I actually was able to get the boxes in with the assistance of a 12 year old boy. (I am a 35 yo female who isn't very strong.) I got both beds (split king) out of the boxes and set up within an hour. I will say after you get the legs on its probably best to have two people to lift it onto the legs up since the middle bends. :-) The bed works perfectly. Remotes are super easy to use. For an inexpensive version I completely recommend. Being able to sit up to watch TV is amazing. My husband loves it too. I recommend shopping for good mattresses. I found twin xl 13inch thick hybrid mattresses for $200 and they are AWESOME. For a total of $1300 we have a completely awesome set up that will hopefully last year's to come! If I had to find only one issue it would be that the mattresses tend to move around a bit, and the twin xl we bought doesn't quite make it to the end of the bed so I'd pay attention to the length of the mattresses you buy vs the length of the adjustable bed itself. :-) thanks for reading my review, I am 100% an authentic happy customer. ... show more

I waited two weeks before writing my review. All I gotta say is if you have been looking for an adjustable bed look no further you will not be disappointed. I purchased a split king with 14in mattress and my hubby and I love this bed. Bed came earlier than expected, delivery arrives at your door and you take boxes into your home. Super easy to assemble. Literally you may just need help carrying boxes to your room. All you need to do is add legs to the adjustable base, open base and add mattress to bed. Open windows or turn your fan on to let your mattress expand to 14in. I know ppl can be skeptical about a huge purchase like this, I was I didn’t know what to expect. But reading all of the previous reviews helped me take a chance and I don’t regret it. My hubby and I, sleep on clouds now. I have a toddler at home and my sleep means the world to me. I’m a happy camper. These beds are overpriced, no other store can beat this price. Highly recommended! Happy Holidays! ... show more

only tool required to set it up is a pair of scissors to two of us 30 minutes to set up our split king have slept on it for a few weeks now and it is very comfortable i am disabled with arthritis and the zero gravity position lets me relax so i can sleep and relives some of the pain.i highly recommend this bed and sven and son they are great. ... show more

    • Yes You Can Use It Without the Legs.
Size: Twin XL Style: Adjustable Base Frame Only
I was intentionally looking for an adjustable bed frame can be used without the legs, the Sven & Son Essential is it. The motors, actuators or any part won't go below the bottom of the frame, actually the frame has rubber pads on the bottom, allow you directly put the frame on the floor and use it, without the legs. On the side of the frame, the bolts can be removed and replaced with longer bolts, if you want to mount it on some custom rails as I planned, no problem. I was thinking to buy 2 of the twin XL frames (39" width) and mod it into a split queen size bed (60" width). The frame itself is 28", you could trim the panels to 30" wide but the 2 feet lifting handles protrude out about 1.5" each side. It's probably still possible if moving the lifting handles to the inside, a little extra effort. The 2 actuators are driven by a 29V 1.8A (50W) DC power supply. Similar actuators are sold here on Amazon for over $100 each, so the bed is very reasonable priced. The quality is good. Made in Thailand. The twin XL frame shipping weight is 110 lbs, it's heavy, but I managed to set it up all by myself, in less than 15 minutes (I exercise regularly though). ... show more

I ordered this and delivery said about July 14. It came July 2. Fast service. Trucking company was fantastic and very professional. I would recommend this to anyone who was looking for an adjustable bed. It definitely helps me with my husband. Also the seller was very helpful and I felt they reached out to make sure they understood what I wanted. Sven and Son was great to deal with. I had absolutely no problems with the item, no damage or missing parts. Everything was perfect. So glad I ordered from them. I ordered a king and it fit right inside my existing bed frame. It was very heavy. I got my son-in-law and my daughter to help move it into my house and bedroom. We built a large 4 wheeled dolly to help roll it up my ramp and into the bedroom. That made it very easy. Instructions where very easy. No problem with any part of it. Well worth the money.
