  • Excellent adjustable for the price!
Size: Split King Style: Adjustable Base + 14" Medium Soft
We looked at many adjustable beds before deciding on this one, but I'm so glad we chose this. It is a wonderful bed! The adjustable base is great for my severe, chronic back pain (that zero G setting feels like heaven on my bad days), and it helps my husband with his hiatal hernia and acid reflux (we're a mess lol), not to mention snoring! Plus, it's great to be able to sit up to read in bed. We went with the 14" hybrid mattress, which is great. It has the softness and cushion of the foam mattresses, but the underlying support of the innerspring (I like a softer mattress because my hip bones get sore if it's too firm, but my husband likes a firmer one... this is a nice compromise, and neither of us has any complaints). We received the bed within a week of ordering. Assembly is easy...the directions are very clear. The mattresses are heavy, so it took both of us to heft them on, and about 24 hrs for them to recover their full height. There was little off-gassing; other than the smell of the plastic they were wrapped in, they didn't smell much at all. We bought the bed in April, so we've used it for 4 months now. We haven't had any issue with the mechanics (the remotes and bases are still working perfectly). I'll update if something breaks, but so far everything is going well. The mattresses are uber comfy! I'm glad I chose these instead of trying to find others... these are perfect for us. I have owned high end beds (I had a Sleep Number a few years ago, but the controls kept going out), and cheaper Costco memory foam mattresses. No mattress has been such a nice balance of softness and support. They are not hot (I sleep hot, and I hated my first memory foam mattress because of that). They are very thick. I have to make sure I buy deep pocket sheets (it uses twin XL). Our one complaint is that the bed, combined with the mattresses, is very high off the floor for our smaller dog (the legs are 12", and the mattress 14"). I contacted the company, but the only other option is 4" legs (you can order those from them), and that would make it lower than is comfortable for me to make the bed with my bad back. Something in the 6-8" range would be ideal. On that note, I suggest a bedskirt with this because it looks a little cheap without one (the legs are solid, but just welded metal). The good thing about it being so high is there's plenty of underbed storage! My only other suggestion is that the mattresses do move around a bit. They sell side supports that keep them straight (the bed comes with the ones for the foot already). I have been fine with just pushing them back on the 1-2" they might move overnight when I make the bed each morning because they slide easily. I like being able to just slide them apart when I change the sheets... it's so much easier than trying to shove the fitted sheets on in between the mattresses...so I opted not to buy the side retainers, but if it bothers you, those are available. We opted not to use this with a bed frame; instead, we had a headboard made that mounts directly to the wall. This makes it much easier to clean under, IMO. King comforters fit well, but they can have different lengths, so mind the measurements and err on the side of larger...these thick mattresses mean a longer/wider blanket is in order. We also opted for a large flat sheet (king), but individual twin XL blankets because I had trouble finding a blanket large enough for both of us. Comforters and duvets are more widely available in different sizes. I would definitely recommend this bed, especially at this price point. I'm happier with it than any other bed I've owned. Fwiw, I contacted the company about shorter legs and they responded within 24 hours, and were very helpful, so there is service after the sale here. We are very satisfied (and well-rested) customers. ... show more

  • Perfect Adjustable Bed
Size: Split King Style: Adjustable Base + 14" Medium Soft
Great adjustable bed. This is my 3rd purchase and definitely recommend this company. Every option you could want in an adjustable bed. Easy to assemble and great quality mattress.

  • It is a really comfortable bed
Size: Queen Style: Adjustable Base + 14" Medium Soft
The bed frame and mattress are very heavy it was difficult to get it all up the stairs. The bed itself was easy to put together and it is amazing! The mattress is so comfortable and to be able to raise the head or foot of the bed when you want makes it even better.

  • For the price it seems great!
Size: Queen Style: Adjustable Base Frame Only
Installation/assembly was super easy. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. Just snug the bolts is all that you need. My wife and I assembled and had it up and running in about 1 hour. That's with a bad back. So, if you are relatively healthy, you would be faster. In the box it is heavy... A little lest than 200 pounds. We opened the box outside and carried the pieces in. Velcro on the boards go down. Don't tilt it on the legs. The boards are not the sturdies. It says maximum weight is 1,500 pounds. I'm not certain of that information. However, I am a bigger guy with back issues and it holds both my wife and myself (6'2"- 320), and lifts us with no issues at all. The bed seems around the same height as with our frame and box foundation, so that is nice. Remote is intuitive. However, the flashlight really seems like a waste, but you never know when it might be handy. For the price I paid, I won't complain much. The pictures show a sleek black cover over the boards. Just know that it is not included, nor are the headboard brackets. I ordered both from the Sven and Son website, as I did not find anything that specifically was for this frame on Amazon. Those items were around $97. Overall, I think this will be alright for us. and if anything wears out, it looks like you could get replacement parts at a hardware store. If a board breaks (unlikely), you could cut a piece to replace it fairly easily. Motors, remote, and control box would be a propriety replacement, I'm sure. If this thing will lift me, I figure it would lift most of you with ease. ... show more

  • Lower back pain, GET THIS!
Size: Queen Style: Adjustable Base Frame Only
First off, don't mind the messy bed, just getting it set up in the picture. I have had lower back problems for 20+ yrs, and recently started having neck issues as well. Before the neck pain, I was a side sleeper, I laid on the side that would open the spacing on my disks, and it would relieve my pain. But, every morning when I got up, I felt like a truck hit me. When my neck started giving trouble, I could no longer sleep on my side, because my arm would go to sleep. And I couldn't sleep flat on my back, because I would wake up thinking I was paralyzed. So, I started sleeping in a recliner. Believe it or not, I could wake up feeling pretty good. I've slept in a recliner for about 3 yrs, and that got me thinking about an adjustable bed. I bought this one because it had great reviews, and it's a reputable brand. I've only slept in it 2 nights, but it's amazing! When I first get it adjusted like I like it, my pain almost disappears. And I have slept through the night without waking. Getting up, I'm not hunched over moaning. This is the best thing Ive done for my sleeping. I'm using a queen Allswell hybrid mattress from Sam's club, and so far, I like it. May try to get a Sven &son one day. But it you have neck spurs, or lower back degenerative disk / bulging disk, I can vouch for getting an adjustable bed frame, and I really like the quality of this one. Set up was pretty fast, and it fits between the rails of my queen rice bed. I used a cordless drill with the clutch set, and an Allen bit to put it together. The Allen that comes with the bed is pretty soft and will round out. I may update my review after about a month. The frame is well built, but as with any adjustable frame, don't let kids jump on them, and I believe it will last. ... show more
