The adjustable bed is great. I can now adjust the bed, not the pillows, to get comfortable. Pillows were a band-aid to elevate areas when needed. A bed is full on solution. I sleep better and longer....I have not had a backache since we got this piece of technology. I was told my HSA would pay for it, but it didn't, and I do not care because it was money well spent! I told my wife i was mad at her for nnot making me but this joker 10 years ago. ;-) Word of caution, the memory foam mattress is medium to soft, more than it is medium to firm. But we both have come to enjoy it and sing the bed's praises like it were one of our children who'd made us proud. The many adjustable positions, the lights underneath, the ease of assembly, combined with a split mattress arrangement that does not shift, make for a great bed. We have the Cali-king that fits well in the sleigh bed frame we had for our original non-adjustable setup. Best comfort investment since my zero-G massage chair and convertible mustang. While none of them will ever make me any money, they have improved my quality of life so much that I cannot imagine not having them and being equally as content. ADULT GYMNASTICS: Get the bed, and if you're worried a split bed will make intimacy a small challenge, don't worry; the mattresses don't shift, and the adjustable feature expands your options.

*Long review warning, buckle-up* Background: The wife and I needed a new mattress after our old one was done after 12 years (yes, we know :)). We wanted something really comfortable after out last mattress, but also something that was adjustable due to our medical issues. I'm recovering from a stroke and find it's best to elevate my head when laying down vs laying flat, while my wife has lung issues that require her to sleep with her head elevated as well. The Decision: After some fairly involved researching, we decided to go with the Sven & Son series of adjustable beds which reviewed really well and what an awesome decision this turned out to be! We went with a split king medium so that we could each adjust our individual sides without bothering the other person. We also opted for the model with the massage feature for that extra level of comfort. Of course, due to the expense of this thing, we opted for the payment plan to pay this off, since it's not like we have this kind of money laying around. However, compared to other adjustable beds, this was reasonably priced for the feature set you get. Setup: We already had an existing king size bed frame that we preferred to keep and the measurements of the Sven & Son adjustable bed looked like it would work, but still, you never know sometimes. I'm happy to report however, this was a perfect fit and setting everything up took less than an hour. The split bases basically only required screwing on the legs, snapping on the foot brackets, and plugging them up. The mattresses just needed to be cut out of their vacuum sealed plastic and placed on the bases. They expanded instantly and could be used right away, but they do note that it could take up to 72 to reach their full firmness. Verdict: I can't express how much more comfortable this split king mattress is over our last mattress, which was still pretty comfortable. The Sven & Son mattresses are so comfortably soft, yet firm, which makes it hard to leave sometimes. The various adjustable configurations allow us to lay in virtually any position we like or need. Kick in a little massage when needed, and it's like you're in heaven. Since this is an adjustable bed, it has various pre-defined settings of course, but you can also manually set positions and assign them two available memory buttons. The massage feature can be set in 10, 20, and 30 minute increments, as well as set to various modes. This feature can also be set to just the head or foot in case you don't want to do them both at the same time. The remote also has a light that I honestly didn't think I'd use, but I've ended up using this several times already. There's also lights underneath the bed, which I haven't used yet, but figured I'd mention it. This particular model also allow you to download an app to control the base, which connects via Bluetooth and was really easy to setup. It works just like the remote, including using the remote light. We couldn't be happier with this purchase and it is proving to be well-worth the money! It is making our medical issues a bit easier to deal with in a very relaxing and our sleep hasn't been this good in years, which is backed-up by our Fitbit sleeping data pulled daily. Would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a solid adjustable bed that won't break the bank as much as some others out there. Twenty toes up!

This is everything I expected and hoped for. This is one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. When they say Medium to Soft, they aren't stretching the truth. I bought the XL Twin Bed and set it up in my livingroom because I do not want to stuck in the back of my house. When set to flat it makes it possible for visitors to sit. This bed is built to last and the stability is everything it should be. It is a beautiful addition to my livingroom. Even with the weight of this bed It has very easy mobility to slide to strip and make the bed. The material is very plush and I would proudly recommend purchasing this item in whatever size you need. The XL Twin is very spacious and I love the Medium to Soft and the material is very plush. I would never have bought this if it was Firm.

I wished that I had tried other beds before I ordered this one. Getting into the middle of the bed is difficult for me, because the mattress sinks in where I first sit, making it hard for me to move over to the middle. I love the TV setting. It puts me in a comfortable place. The remote works great.

I do not normally write customer reviews as many of the things I purchase typically are odds and ends type of things. However, I spent some cash-ola on this bed, and I think it commands a review. My wife demanded that we needed a new mattress after she arose one morning practically hobbled. I laughed. She wasn't pleased. Anywho, we reviewed several names or mattresses, and reviewed....and reviewed some more. Purchasing a mattress online can be a daunting experience, and let's face it-many of these companies allot a 100 night try out or you can return it (Bill Burr voice "GROSS!"). So, we didn't want to buy the thing, only to not like it and need to pay to restock it. After several reviews and discussions with friends we opted on a bed with an adjustable base. So, then we needed to find the right one to buy. Again, after searching review after review-we landed on old Sven & Son-you ever hear of them. Yep, me neither. But, I did my research, and many of the reviews kept me coming back to them. And them compare their features to others. And, we just said "let's go with Sven." A few things that I really want to underscore here that I personally feel made this the right purchase for us. 1. customer service. I made the online purchase, and Sleep Geeks (the wholesaler, I presume) called to validate that we dropped 2,000 smackaroos on one of their beds. 2. once they confirmed the purchase-I got a call 2 days later with shipping instructions-coming from Jacksonville via freight...would you be available for home delivery etc? Again better than expected customer service. 3. the freight company that they outsource too kept me in the loop-took about a week and a half to get the items to my home. 4. the attention to detail with packaging. Everything was nicely shrink wrapped, no holes in boxes, no dirt on the plastic that was bundled for the mattress. You could tell this thing was sitting around in some mildewed warehouse for several years. 5. ease of assembly. Listen, no lie the components are hefty, and require two people to move unless you're testing your personal feats of strength. 6. literally, once I got this suckers up my flights of stairs, it took me less then 15 minutes to properly set up and position. 7. attention to detail in the electrical components. This may seem a little hoity toity on my part; however, when you flip the adjustable bases over, all of the various motors, wiring and components are nicely put together. Wires were cinched up with zip ties, nothing was dangling. The motors were tied up close in their own pockets. And the underside was inspected properly as it was numbered in pen. This may seem like a whatever detail, but there are a lot of wires and electrical components to this thing, and my dog usually crawls underneath our bed. Nothing is hanging low for her to get caught on or mess with. Ok...Stephen King thanks for the novel how is the bed??? Listen, this thing is really, really comfortable. With this mattress we tossed a gel, memory foam, astronaut polymer technology mattress just in the garbage because it wasn't cutting it any longer. I don't foresee that with this mattress and its adjustable base. It has some many features, LED lighting, USB plugins, massaging features. I'm pretty sure it can order you a pizza. Bottom line, I honestly have slept so much better than I have in recent years. Like, I really get a deep, deep sleep. It does take some getting used to sleeping in an adjusted position. I mean after all it's similar to a hospital bed without all the IVs, lab work, and staff poking and prodding you-unless that's your thing. Why I say it takes time getting used to sleeping in a pseudo upright position because I'm side sleeper, and it doesn't feel right sleeping on your side when your feet are akimbo. So, you got to find your position, and then you're good to go. In all seriousness, we THOROUGHLY enjoy the hell out of this thing. We got a California King. It's two twins sandwiched together to form a king. The mattresses don't move apart from one another when you are...you know...doing your thing...I've owned this now for about three weeks, and really can't even find a complaint if I wanted to make one up. It was a great purchase for us. It was pricey sure, but when compared to other makes and models when you factor in the features you get I really think it was a no brainer.

My husband and I have been talking about getting a different mattress - even though the one we had was only a few years old. He had horrible back problems and I snore like a lumberjack. I used to sleep on a wedge or with multiple pillows - but with my neck issues - that just wasn't a good option. To this point - either I slept great - yet kept him up or he slept great and I didn't. We even joked that we now understand why our grandparents slept in different bedrooms. Well - that just wasn't an option - so we started looking into an adjustable bed. Budget was a big issue - but so was comfort. We ordered as part of black friday and got it in a little over a week later. Set up wasn't too bad - it was very simple - yes - it will take two people to move it around - but that is to be expected. The bed looked very well made - stitching and mechanicals were great. The matresses were very comfortable. The first night we had it was so fun. Of course we had to try out all of the features. It was like having the most comfortable recliner in your bedroom. It did take a few nights to get used to the new matress - I like it softer - and my husband prefers more firm - so I just added a mattress pad. We purchased the split king and it has been amazing. We have been sleeping on it for a couple of weeks now and no complaints. It helps with my husbands back - and even has a preset anti-snore feature which is perfect. The comfort level is amazing. I am so glad we purchased this bed. I feel like it is sturdy and well made and hope that it will last us a very long time. Zero smell when unpackaging. Highly recommend.

I rarely write reviews, but the Sven & Son Classic Adjustable Bed Base deserves every bit of praise I can give. From the moment it was set up, it completely transformed the way I sleep and relax. The head and foot lift functions are incredibly smooth and quiet, making it easy to find the perfect position whether I’m reading, watching TV, or settling in for the night. The massage feature is a dream—gentle, soothing, and surprisingly effective after a long day. It genuinely feels like having a personal spa built into the bed. One of my favorite touches is the under-bed lighting. It’s soft, elegant, and perfect for nighttime trips without waking up my whole household. Little details like this make the whole experience feel high-end. The bed base itself is sturdy, well-made, and feels like it will last for years. I’ve noticed a huge improvement in both comfort and sleep quality since switching to this setup. It is listed as medium-soft, but it has a nice firmness to it. If you’ve been considering an adjustable bed, don’t hesitate—this one is worth every penny. Sven & Son really knocked it out of the park with this model! Purchased Twin XL Classic base w/ 14" mattress. Product arrived in two large boxes and were heavy, but manageable for a 67 year-old (a very nice, fit, young lady from Fed-Ex delivered them to my door... I wasn't about to complain). Adjustable bed and mattress were well packaged and arrived undamaged. Adjustable frame was almost completely assembled (except for legs, mattress holder, power supply) and I had no difficulty finishing the assembly myself. Had to re-form two of six leg caps using a heat gun/ blower (which turned out great and was not a big issue). Frame and bed completely assembled in about 10 minutes (not counting reforming the two leg caps, which took only minutes). Frame and components were well-assembled/ labeled and appear to be of very good quality. Nicely engineered; very sturdy. Instruction manual was straight forward, well-written. The 8" legs, bed-frame thickness, and mattress came to just over 24" in height (perfect for a 5'8"/ 170 lb male). I used 3" plastic/ rubber sliders under each (of 6) legs and the bed and frame slide easily across my low-pile carpet. Bed frame is very quiet and raises/ lowers to any height (up to their limits). The 14" mattress was softer than I expected. I would rate it as "soft" versus "medium soft" as advertised. I didn't think I would like it, but it is very comfortable and I sleep very well on it. It could be difficult to rise from for older people (I don't find it to be an issue, and you can always raise the back board of the bed to assist in rising from the mattress to a seated position). I really like the wireless remote and it is very intuitive and easy to use. The. "flat" button is nice to lower the bed quickly without using multiple buttons. I like the under frame light and enjoyed the massage features. The classic was worth the few extra dollars. In a few days I have benefitted from having the back board slightly raised while sleeping, since I occasionally have digestion issues, and its nice to have gravity working in your favor to keep stomach contents where they belong (digesting... :). Really like this bed and highly recommend it. Well designed, and of great quality. It should last for a long time. I also liked that I can buy brackets for a headboard should I decide to add one. Choose a 12" or 10" if you like a firmer mattress. Great job Sven and Son.
