  • A civilized, chainsaw!
Some years back I was "volunteered" by the boss to clear hurricane debris from roads and the right of way of part of my county. My crew got it done although they thoughtfully let me do almost all of the chainsaw work. They did the pulling and dragging for crews following. I find chainsaws to be frightening, noisy, dirty and excessively dangerous. This well-balanced, lightweight, quiet and beautifully controlled battery-powered chainsaw to be a delight. I intended to trim one limb of that tough old bush and found myself doing them all, then searching around my property for more to do! Those gloves in the photo come with it along with two batteries and other gear you see in the description. I didn't even come close to needing to change the battery. This is EASY and I love the thing for how controllable and civilized it is. They should all be this good. ... show more

  • Well balanced, easy to assemble and use
This took less than 5 minutes to put together, even though there were no instructions on how to do that in the instruction pamphlet. There was a link to a YouTube video that I didn't need to watch. The side cover was a little sticky to get off and then on again, but that's no big deal. The only real issue is that the chain tension adjusting screw is very tight and sticks. I'm worried that over time I'll strip some threads and then won't be able to adjust it properly any more. I may need to disassemble it to see if it needs oiling or something. Speaking of oiling, there's no mention of how to oil the chain in the manual, and I didn't see any way on the saw itself, but the box it comes in states that it's self-oiling. Once assembled with the battery attached, it's well balanced. It stops very quickly, but not instantly. And the two batteries that come with it are substantial so they should last a good amount of time. ... show more

  • Comfortable but under powered weak
The media could not be loaded. I really wanted to love this. It feels great in the hands—more like a full-size saw than a tiny handheld—and the 12” bar is nice. It comes with everything you need (including a charger), and it’s easy to use. But performance isn’t there. The chain doesn’t run as smooth or free as my smaller handhelds, and it bogs down on cuts that my little 7” saw chews through. Power feels underwhelming and the battery drops fast. You can see it in my video—the saw works, but it acts like it’s giving everything it has just to get through basic cuts. Pros • Comfortable, solid feel and balance • 12” bar; kit includes charger • Simple to use, good for quick, light cuts Cons • Chain doesn’t run smoothly under load • Noticeably less power than my smaller handheld saws • Battery drains quickly • Struggles on thicker pieces Bottom line: If you just need to trim a few small branches now and then, it’ll get the job done. If you want an all-around, small-property workhorse (light yard projects, frequent cleanup), this isn’t it. For that, my handheld 7” saws have been faster and stronger. ... show more

  • Surprised
I got this SUZUME battery-powered chainsaw recently and was really curious to see how it would handle. It's surprisingly powerful for its size. I've been using it for trimming some branches around the yard, and it's handled everything with ease. The battery life is also pretty impressive; I've been able to get a lot of work done on a single charge. It's really lightweight, which makes it easy to use for longer periods without getting tired. Overall, I am very happy with this saw, and I'd recommend it to anyone who needs a reliable tool for quick yard jobs. ... show more

  • Occasional yardwork
This works pretty well as a light duty chainsaw. It is smaller and easier to maneuver than larger versions, so it's great for small areas. Handy to keep around the house for occasional landscaping needs. It is easy to assemble and get started. The battery life is okay, not amazing. Again, better for occasional needs rather than daily work. For the price, I believe it's fair. ... show more

  • Excellent
I’m a seventy year old female who needs to trim lower limbs on a cherry tree. The chainsaw kit includes everything including a clear tape measure, something you seldom see, safety glasses and gloves. It was easy to assemble, lightweight and small enough to maneuver easily giving precise cutting control. You get 1 power station and 2 batteries, which is great to alternate for any job. I have no issues with this set, especially with its safety features, at my age the more protection the better and it definitely reduce my fears. Definitely give it a huge thumbs up and well worth the investment. ... show more

  • Decent light duty saw... but... one minor issue.
Generally, this is a 5-star product for what you get. The loss of one star came from the fact that the blade cover, didn't want to come off. After thoroughly reviewing that I hadn't missed anything or wasn't doing something wrong, I had to smack it multiple times with a soft hammer to get it to release. As you can see in the photo, there was some corrosion (or something) on the front post. The second was absolutely perfect. It is possible, something was spilled on it. It cleaned up okay and shouldn't cause any future issues. Since it was one and not both, or any other part of the product, I am going to assume this is an odd one-off so I wouldn't let it prevent me from purchasing the product. Just know, if you remove the 2 nuts and the thing doesn't fall off in your hand, some gentle "persuasion" may be in order. ... show more
