Perhaps the biggest win about this CADMOS alarm clock is the super-legible display that can be set to a multitude of colors and even for those who're indecisive, multiple colors shown all at once, but it would more useful IMO to have an ambient light sensor implemented because the weakest most dimmed level, even set on the red color, seems just a little too bright in pitch darkness but that red hue during the day becomes hard to see. Another ding is that while it has 5 levels of sound intensity, having a few different sounds wouldn't be a bad thing, but maybe we're all spoiled at this point with all the alarm options on our smart phones. That said, it does get pretty annoyingly loud at the highest setting. The battery backup feature is a wonderful addition and the placement of the snooze button could not be better placed. Two USB-A charge ports in the back round out an impressive array of functions. Overall it's a solid alarm clock minus a few minor misgivings. ... show more

This is a nice little alarm clock. My son didnt have one and wanted one. Found this guy and it was a nice little clock for the money. It is simple clock with simple features. Loud enough alarm to be functional. The 3 dimming modes are great to keep the light low, and since he has a night light its lowest level is just fine for him. I am not sure if you are looking to do blackout conditions it would be as good. However if you were you can shut the display off, which never makes since as now you have to engage the clock to see the time. I used its plug in and it came with a block to plug the usb/c cable into. the C is for the clock, and the port for the c is tight. I thought it was broken out of box as i was trying various power supplies and none worked, then i pushed the c cable on the back which looked fully plugged in and it snapped in a little further and it worked. I did not put batteries in the clock, it takes 3 and said it is only needed for power outage backups. Didnt care enough to have to reset it so left it empty. There are a lot of different color modes and ones that fade from top to bottom or left to right, static colors, mixed by dash and mixed by number which is what i pictures as my son chose. This clock has 2 usb ports on the back to charge other devices which is great. all and all simple easy to use and fun for both kids and adults. my wife was threatening to take it lol. great simple clock, easy to see across the room. ... show more

The clock itself was relatively easy to set up following the included instructions. The display is very big and very bright! You can dim it and even change the color, but even on the lowest setting it's fairly bright and definitely easy to see. There is an included night light (the snooze bar lights up) which can also be adjusted. The alarm can be adjusted between five volume levels ranging from (IMO) "slightly quieter than normal" to "ridiculously loud". It's a somewhat annoying alarm, but that's good because it makes you want to get up. And if you're like me you set a pleasant alarm on your phone but then put an alarm clock across the bedroom as the "oh crap I overslept!" backup, heh. The clock comes with its USB-style power cord including an AC adapter, which is very nice as that trend is becoming somewhat rare these days. It takes 3 AAAs as a memory backup in case of power loss; it is not battery operated. All in all, recommended. ... show more

I am very pleased with this alarm clock. It is light weight, compact and the LED lights are large enough for me to see at night because of my vision problems. The instructions were easy, and I had it set up in a few minutes. I love the fact that if the power goes out (and it does go out at our home often), the battery backup will maintain the correct time and spare me the angst of resetting the time. This is a game changer for me as I have to do the rounds in the house to reset the time after a power outage, which is annoying most times a few seconds long. The change of color is a nice feature but a simple light blue is perfect for me. I also like that you can change the intensity of the LED light. I am happy to say that this light is also a dim nightlight that helps me when I get up at night to go to the bathroom. There is also a separate nightlight feature that you can turn on to provide additional, more intense lighting. This is a nice product! Well designed and helpful. I strongly recommend. ... show more

This clock is great! I love all the color options for the digital display. There are a variety of solid colors and mixed and rainbow colors to choose from. Plus the optional night light on the top has seven color options. There is a dimmer control so you can adjust how bright the display is. You can also adjust the alarm volume, and the highest setting is LOUD, it woke me up and I'm a heavy sleeper who prior to this alarm clock used the alarm on my iphone. I love that it has two alarms to be set so a couple could use it and set two different alarms. I also like that the snooze is only 5 minutes. I got this for my 10 year old daughter to start waking herself up for school. She was able to set it up on her own, but it took a few days to get used to it. There was definitely a learning curve, which I expected. She really likes the color options for the numbers. She says it is a little too bright, which is why I took one star. She says she wants to be able to see what time it is when she wakes up, so she leaves it on rather than putting it on sleep mode, which shuts the light completely off. She wishes that it just went dimmer. Overall, she enjoys the new independence, and I am happy that she was able to set it up without my help. ... show more
